Video card trouble gtx 200 series and Guild Wars.

I have noticed with two cards now that my 2d clock will kick in during Guild Wars. At first I thought it was my video card but it has done it on two cards at stock speeds. Now even with my 2d clocks my card handles Guild Wars but thats not the point whats the deal? What it does is my 3d clock will start no problem but randomly will switch to a 2d clock. I've truned off the adaptive power etc... I wonder if this is drivers or what is the issue anyone?

I actually have a problem with GW too with GTX 275 SLI, extended play (1hr+) will lead to driver crash. I can play Crysis, BFBC2 etc. at high-max settings with 99% GPU load for hours on end with no problems, but GW crashes. Probably something on their end, it is an old-ass engine with next to no updates after all.

iv had alot of problems with my gtx 260 in hl2 mods like zombie panic. my vid drivers chrash every time i try and alt tab or just mid game in gpuz it shows my mem load controler going to 100% after chrash but can still play the game. i dotn understand it but i can play metro and bc2 maxed and never chrash i think its somthing to do with dx9 games imo..

try lasts WHQL drivers, if it's still same maybe u need a new bios for the cards

It strange just as you said I can go hours on other games with no trouble and even G.W will go for hours then bam down to 2d clocks. The good thing is 2d clocks can handle it. Just goes to show you what you can do with low end graphics, GW looks good for DX8.

Na it has don't it on a evga gtx 275 and a gtx 285 so the chances are very low. They both play everything else fine. I think it doesn't like the zoning in guild wars.
