After a fresh install of windows videos have looked pixelated when maximized in media player classic and online videos. The only other thing i have tested is WMP which doesn't pixelize as badly but still seems worse than it used to be (before the fresh boot). How do i fix this?
Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: I've now also checked VLC and it doesn't pixelate and after viewing some HD prons in WMP i think it's working properly. So only online videos and mpc are acting up.

stop using low resolution videos?

seriously and not trolling, thats quite likely the problem.

720p does it and in 1080p the lines look weird (in anime).

Edit: This is a 720p video in mpc,

and this is a HD video from gamespot,

do you have MLAA enabled?

Nope. I just tried it and it makes no difference.

what codec pack do you have installed?

also, what rendering method in MPC?

CCCP and default.

well i have no issues with that setup. tried disabling all the video optimization stuff in CCC?

All the options in optimization options in CCC are already off. What Catalyst drivers are you using? I think its probably a driver setting seeing how online videos look dodgy as well.

its more likely to be codecs, but i dont know what ones. if it was video drivers, it should affect VLC as well.

i'm running 11.2 with CCC2, and it does have some video settings on by default. there is also a tickbox there to apply its settings to internet video or not - so if that tickbox is off and your net videos still borked, it cant be the drivers.

It seems after some playing around with the setting I've managed to fix it.
However I'm not sure about online videos. Their quality has become better but i can't remember whether they were clearer before.
If you're bothered can you take a fullscreened screenshot of this video @1680x1050.

What online videos look like now,

cant do 1680x1050, but heres most of a 1080p fullscreen shot
