Please take pics of the ram before you go "OMG I found it", because I know some people are like "I have 1mb of ram," and I have to say NO cause the max I can put in this machine is 640k and I already have 64k on the motherboard.

Hahaha I remember at school they had a state of the art IBM with 640K mem years ago:)

those were the good day's were you'd pay 600$ for less than a mb of RAM:nutkick:

bad news about the really old printer...it got thrown out

good news is I found an old inkjet printer from the late 80's. The product page on the hp website said it was discontinued in 1990. Probably came out in 88 or 89 then . It's a HP deskjet 2276 A . Link here to the HP spec page http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=bpd02103&tmp_track_link=ot_faqs/top_issues/en_us/bpd02103/loc:1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=58060 . Don't know if that's what you're looking for. Read the product description on the product page for a good laugh. Hell, i'll just copy and paste it

"The HP DeskJet printer is an affordable, high-quality personal inkjet printer for the PC. For the same price as you would pay for a dot matrix, the HP DeskJet printer gives you truly professional, water-resistant, 300 dpi black printing on plain paper. The HP DeskJet printer has one built-in typeface with multiple font styles and is TrueType font compatible in Microsoft (R) Windows software. The HP DeskJet printer prints on plain paper with a print speed of up to three pages per minute in MS-DOS (R) or 1-2 minutes per page in Microsoft Windows software. The HP DeskJet printer offers a 3-year limited warranty, the longest in the industry. With exceptional quality output, renowned HP dependability and durability, and simple set-up operation, the value cannot be beat.":rockout:

I'm ok, want a period printer to match the computer, not a later model. Thanks anyway.

Thanks, however most 20+ year old hardware cannot be found there anymore.

I have "T2 The Arcade Game" In the box with instructions. It's dated 1991. It's a 3.5" disk and the requirements are IBM 386, Tandy etc. , 640k RAM, 4mb HDD space, DOS 5.0 or higher. I'm not really sure if this is of any interest to you but let me know if it is. This is a stock photo of what it is.

Yeah sorry that is a tad too new for my computer. I have an 8088 so not near as fast as a 386.

Let's make it interesting.

I'll pit my IBM XT with AST 6 pack and 20meg seagate against whatever you have.

I think I also have an accelerator card - the one's that plug into the cpu socket and the bus.

I've been in kind of a funk for a while now and it will take some some digging on my part. Considering the fact that I'm down to my last clean pair of undies, the odds don't look good right now, but I could spring into action at any moment.

So whaddya say punk?

Feelin' lucky?

Your computer has a hard drive. I have 5.25" drives. I think you won right there... I also don't have a math coprocessor, or anything like that. However I will buy the 8088 right out of your socket, as well as the coprocessor! :)

bummer. I wasn't sure which model the 5150 was.

I'm saving the rig I have. I wish I'd hung on to my old 286. But it wasn't the real deal - it was a clone.

If I can find the 5.25" floppies I can make copies for you. I think I still have a 360k floppy and the right kind of cabling for it. It might take me a while though and it would be easier if you had specific requests.

thanks for realizing I was kidding with you - I keep forgetting the smilies.

edit - i'll see if I can find the accelerator but it might be in the machine. I think it was my XT clone that I ditched long ago however. But I'll keep an eye out for it.

Yeah I realized you were kidding. Also, I have been trying to find a computer in which to plug in my IBM compatible 5.25" floppies, but I don't have a computer old enough to support it.

EDIT: Also, specific requests? Top of the thread.

sorry. I was thinking software.

I'll dig around and see if I have anything in your list.

It's been a while so this might be a stupid question, but aren't the card edge connectors pinned the same way as the standard floppy pin-outs on current mobo's? Wouldn't you just need a cable that takes the standard pinout on the mobo end and then has both card edge and pin connectors along the cable? I think I have something like that. I'll look for that too.
