What is a decent size (22" +) monitor that can be wall mounted? I have a small desk and a large empty wall. The voices in my head tell me to mount a ginormous monitor on that wall.

Well, many LCD panels support VESA mountings, that's basically the 4 screws on the back. Using this system you can mount these monitors to anything. You just need a VESA mount for your wall.

If you got mad cash, go plasma and use HDMI to connect it to your PC.

I'm pretty sure Phillips stops with the production of plasma screens because they're so great.

wow, anything I post you are right there to cut it down and make me look stupid. Are you like this with everyone?

I guess that depends on the type of wall of course. And how often you move everything around. It's a valid argument, though it doesn't apply to everyone of course. Besides, you can always put a painting over the holes in the wall ;)

I will also cut you down.

You cannot get a plasma below a 42" today, and if you can, it is very rare. But larger LCD tv would be a good idea.

EDIT: Dan attacks everyone, it is in his nature. You'll learn to love him like family soon enough.

I was just curious as to what I have said or done to have you nipping at my heels everytime I post when you are online.

I'm not nipping at your heels. You post a suggestion to a question without any argumentation but say it like "omg this is godly", so I simply state that one of the major producers of plasma doesn't see any bread in it.

Sure I can be a sarcastic bastard sometimes, yet you give me nothing to respond to besides "this is the best". If you would have given arguments I would have considered them and replied to those instead.

Besides, I wouldn't even know what you're referring to with "every time". Could be just me of course, you're just one of many I feed upon. And besides that, you humans all look the same.

;) You know it.

I'd go for a 32" LCD, for a monitor anything larger strains some videocards...

It's more the resolution that's the issue. For example there are plenty of "low" res big screens out there. Mostly this isn't an issue. Last month I had two Planar GX40's here(=work), they're 40" 1366x768 screens. Great image, we all agreed we wanted to take them home.
Also, it depends on what you want to view on them, do you want to play games on extreme resolutions or just watch video.

Yep i do move my pc around mate cos at the moment my sons cots in our room but he will be moving into his room shortly so i will be able to put my pc back in its origional place reason why he wasnt in his room is because the house is only heated downstairs so we kept him in our room over winter to make sure he doesnt kick his covers off at night but now summers starting the nights are warmer anyway.

But like you said different circumstances.

lol. I didn't mean to imply plasma was the best. If anything LaserTV is the best, but it's not for sale yet.

I tend to look at price i mean no matter how good somthing is theres a point were ill think NO WAY! cos i would feel robbed if the price is right then thats different.
I dont look at what they value somthing at really.
I look at if its worth it to me or for me.

If somthing say £200 less will do the job i want it to do then ill go for that.

Have been thinking of putting my 22" screen on the wall as well, with something like this -

http://www.amazon.co.uk/LCD107-Mount-Bracket-Swivel-Cantilever/dp/B0012AAUPW/ref=pd_sbs_ce_njs_img_5

With these kind of mounts you will have some ability to move it to suit your viewing angle, just make sure that it can support the monitor weight and if you get one with a tilt mechanism, that it can lock in place, as some will sag under the weight of your screen.

Thats quite a cheap price too ive seen some mounts run into the £90 reigon

Wow, that has to be the fastest thread-jacking in the history of online forums. 17 replies and less than a handful of suggestions. lol.

Ok, in response to the "mad cash"...I'm more concerned about the "mad wife," so no plasma.
With that being said, anything above 30" is prob out of the question.

I do like the idea of having the speakers wall-mounted along with the monitor. That thought had crossed my mind. I had actually even toyed with the idea of building a small shelf to hold the monitor and speakers if I couldn't find wall mounts.

What do you know about the Hanns-G 28" ?
I read an online review that was all bitching and whining about how there were no usb ports and the bezel was too large, blah blah blah. Personally, I have no need for a thousand usb ports. I just want a larger screen for games and movies, and more desk space.

 nice.

But on topic yeah a 32"LCD would be a decent size, but what sort of budget u got in mind some elcheapo 32"LCD are awfull.

Gam
EDIT
We posted at exactly the same time :), HansG are used by many ppl on the forums, i havnt seen/read anything bad about them, a decent middle of the road manufacturer.
