If your going for a 1366 chip then a 970 would be the choice or just scrap the 1366 and go 1155

@sunny4691,

I see you are in NYC?

If so, I suppose Microcenter in Long Island or Yonkers is out of the question?

Both have brand new I7-960s for $230.

Just a suggestion...

If you want the warranty you really should buy it brand new and NewEgg still has them in stock so it isn't like there is a huge shortage of them (unlike the 3930k.)

Intel Core i7-950 Bloomfield 3.06GHz LGA 1366 130W...

If you can't afford it new, you might want to save your money instead of cheeping out on a used one. Also I see people saying they have some, so what is wrong with the ones that are being offered?

Bump......Any 950/960

Are you going to answer my question or respond to anyone making offers or are you going to keep bumping until you can't bump anymore? It might help if you gave a price range and why you're not getting a new one.

I have been wondering the same thing...

$230 at MC for a brand-new 960 is a good deal.

^ I have some money in my Amazon gift certificate balance which can be only used to buy something from amazon, and I want to get rid of it by buying a cpu, so I want an amazon listing.
And I haven't been offered any cpu of my taste, all I have been offered are the 920 or 930 without warranties or the guys want paypal only. I hope I have cleared your doubts, and till now I haven't got any offer for 950/960, got one offer of 950 but that guy asked $240 for it.

That makes sense, good luck finding someone who will sell their CPU on amazon though. 240 for a brand new, in the box 950 isn't a bad deal though. I think you will be hard pressed to find a used Bloomfield still with its warranty. Even more so since you don't hold the receipt for the original purchase.
