At that amount of money and looking at your specs, you might as well save up for a CPU or GPU. Unless you've got stock cooling on your CPU, then you might consider a CPU cooler.

I agree. I would save up for a better cpu or gpu. I would recommend a new CPU first though.

I would say aim for one of the intel e5xxx chips or if you can save up longer for one of the intel e7xxx chips. Intel is supposed to be dropping prices soon anyways, so that will also help.

A Radeon HD 4830 would be a huge upgrade for you but it looks like it's double your budget on those sites. If I was you I'd wait. Your getting a good OC on your CPU with a stock cooler, your RAM is plenty. If you can same up another R600 ($50) a HD 4830 should be within your reach and would greatly improve your gaming performance. The 4830 out performs the 8800-9800GT at the same price point.
