Warranty Stickers on back of XFX 6870's/6850,s

I haven't seen a thread on this but I would like to clear things up before this issue does come up.

XFX Has added Warranty Stickers to the Heat sink Brackets on the 6870 and 6850 video cards.

Here is a picture....

There are two of these stickers on the back bracket.... Over the Screws needed to be removed so that you can remove the Heat sink. The Stickers (Labels) state that if removed all warranties are null and void.

Well this is true.... For everyone In the world!!!!!

EXCEPT FOR NORTH AMERICA!

North America includes Canada and the USA. So sorry to everyone else who is not in North America (Because I think that policy stinks) But I just wanted to post it here to make everyone here aware. Because I saw this myself and got a little worried about it.

Luckily I live in the US.

But It does seem that this rule can still be by passed by talking to XFX Support and telling them what your intentions are and why you want to remove these Warranty Stickers. So if you live outside NA... Not all is lost.

when i took my digital alliance 470, i just found the same sticker

lucky, it aint stick well so i remove it and place below the screw then i replace original the thermal paste with cooler master HTK, i hope the warranty wont void coz it written it void if the sticker damaged, i dont damage it, i just re- place it

I get what you are saying.

not that I condone doing this but I bought a 360 re5 version, took it home, heat gunned it and the box open, figured out if I could mod it or not, sealed it back up and returned it. Nobody noticed as it looked as if it wasn't open.

On a side note: It works best as soon as your out of the shower for a steamed affect on the hair, works wounder

No doubt bud... I have used the Hair dryer method before. It works really well for the most part!
It's just that there is still a chance for problems.

But that goes with out saying every time someone attempts something like this
