that default clock seems to point that it may have been used for mining see here for stock specs Sapphire Nitro+ RX580 4GB 2304 shadders

if you click on the little ? next to where is says Bus Interface: PCIe 3.0 X16 @ X16 1.1 does the GPU clock ramp up to 1411MHz if not then it's been vbios flashed for use in something other than gaming

@Athlonite no, the clock remains 1150 (in both GPU-Z and Afterburner) during the render test.
@ThrashZone yes, the numbers are the same (pic shows sticker on gpu)
@Caring1 yeah i thought so, i had to check because i never messed with bios, so I'm a noob in that department

Update:
Ok so i flashed my bios 2 (performance) with the file found in this post https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/...-flash-back-to-stock-bios.254338/post-4025431

however i still have stability issues, and crashes during stress tests, usually screen freezes for like 4-5 sec i get this:
2021-01-18 (2).png

Sometime i get weird artifacts on the screen or a blue screen.

Could this be because of my PSU? LC600H-12 600w

OR have i bough a almost dead GPU?

hello yall, used to only read the forum now i'm a member since i need help  hopefully someone will have the time to do so.
anyway i bought this RX580 Nitro+ 4GB and the guy said it was used for gaming, now i have my doubts about that.... anyway here is a screenshot of the gpu z, if anyone could tell me do i have a miner and do i need to flash the bios
The clock speeds look way off.... I'm fairly certain it's been flashed. The Memory clock should be 1750 or maybe 1850. 1150mhz is low for the core clock and I believe the core clock should be around 1380mhz and/or higher.
When you check in device manager, is the card reporting any errors or issues. I think the current drivers hide these issue but the drivers from 2 year ago won't. You'd have to use the Pixel Clock patcher to get around the driver issue which causes the error, but that won't entirely solve the problem unless you want to mine with it.

You should be able to find the BIOS file on here and then use the VBFlash program to fix.... i mean reflash it.
Also, you should have a BIOS selector switch on the side of the card. It's tiny but it's on the PCB towards the front of the card. What happens if you shut the system down and then select the other BIOS then reboot?

Usually these Nitro cards have a dual-BIOS. If the other BIOS runs normally then you don't really need to flash it.... that is unless he flashed the performance mode BIOS, and didn't flash the stock mode BIOS.

For the love of all that is holy, do NOT use that PSU.

2000 or closer to that, would be right for GDDR5, IIRC.

2000 or closer to that, would be right for GDDR5, IIRC.

That would be correct if the OP had an 8GB model but they don't the 4GB models used cheaper GDDR5 modules and they top out at 1750MHz
could you explain why? im genuinely interested.

in its former state it wasn't pulling to much current from the PSU now that it's back to factory default ie: 1411MHz core clock and 1750MHz memory clock it is pulling significantly more current from the PSU and if it can't deliver it it'll do one of two things 1: crash the driver when stressed or 2: shut down completely if you use Radeon setting to down clock the GPU core clock to say 1350MHz does it still crash the driver

also one of the unlucky things that can happen to ex mining GPU's is that they're just worked to death and no longer run right ever again hence being sold on to unsuspecting buyers like yourself

System Name Not so complete or overkill - There are others!! Just no room to put! :D
Processor Ryzen Threadripper 3970X
Motherboard Asus Zenith 2 Extreme Alpha
Cooling Lots!! Dual GTX 560 rads with D5 pumps for each rad. One rad for each component
Memory Viper Steel 4 x 16GB DDR4 3600MHz not sure on the timings... Probably still at 2667!! :(
Video Card(s) Asus Strix 3090 with front and rear active full cover water blocks
Storage I'm bound to forget something here - 250GB OS, 2 x 1TB NVME, 2 x 1TB SSD, 4TB SSD, 2 x 8TB HD etc...
Display(s) 3 x Dell 27" S2721DGFA @ 7680 x 1440P @ 144Hz or 165Hz - working on it!!
Case The big Thermaltake that looks like a Case Mods
Audio Device(s) Onboard
Power Supply EVGA 1600W T2
Mouse Corsair thingy
Keyboard Razer something or other....
VR HMD No headset yet
Software Windows 11 OS... Not a fan!!
Benchmark Scores I've actually never benched it!! Too busy with WCG and FAH and not gaming! :( :( Not OC'd it!! :(
Go for anything top tier, don't bother going cheaper, it's not worth it and if you think about it, the PSU powers everything in the system, if anything happens to it it could wipe out the entire PC or if it's a good one, it might just shut itself down...

I've had good PSUs that have saved my systems, don't ever skimp, it's just not worth it.

OK this is a list of PSU i found locally (serbia) in my price range (B and A tier LTT tier list linked by @alexa )
i could probably find any psu on the market, however it would require a lot of phone calls and messages, so if you do have any recommendation feel free to post them.

Since there is so much option i would like to get some recommendations based on the list below

Cooler Master MWE Gold 550W MPY-5501-ACAAG-EU - 110 USD
Cooler Master MWE White 500W MPE-5001-ACABW-EU (potential issue?) - 69 USD
Cooler Master MWE 500 Bronze V2 MPE-5001-ACAAB-EU (potential issue?) - 90 USD
FSP HYDRO PRO 700 PPA7004303 80+ Bronze - 95 USD
Seasonic CORE GC-500 - 94 USD
Seasonic CORE-GC-650 - 105 USD
Antec EarthWatts Gold Pro EA650G-Pro - 120 USD
Be Quiet Pure Power 11 80 Plus Gold 500W BN293 - 100 USD
Sama Armor 80PLUS GOLD 550W - 87 USD
Sama FORZA 750W - 110 USD

I personally lean toward the Sama Armor 80PLUS GOLD 550W but i also read that it has some dodgy components inside so...

Oh my god. It's another deer OEM PSU. I thought the forest animal factory had shut down. Turns out they are just rebadging.

Those things are ticking time bombs.
