I don't care about announcements at all. When does the NDA lift?

That is why you should care about announcements.

Why? You think I'll miss the reviews at the top of TPU main page?
You will know the release date which is usually within 24 hours of NDA.

How am I going to get any work done this afternoon? First the AMD live stream and then Europa League Soccer right after.

Why? You think I'll miss the reviews at the top of TPU main page?
You asked when the NDA would lift.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
Looking forward to this... to the thread being closed because this is news that will hit the front page as a live blog, I would guess.... lol

You will know the release date
This.

Typically, an announcement is followed by AT LEAST a week before review NDAs are up and product availability. I don't recall any announcement where availability is the next day. Look at the CPUs.. that was a month away, for example.

So it's got Crystal Well Infinity Cache to make up for the bus?

edit: LOL, it's even 128MB on the 6900.

Performance is a bit better than I expected and that's because they pushed power draw to 300W. But prices are logical. Feature set is very nice. Synergies with Zen3 is a great marketing tool also. Good product series imho. AMD has turned to a ramming machine for gaming lately. 6700(XT) series for next year probably.

I still don't understand how the 128MB cache helps. But if the benchmarks prove it, then I'll eat my hat. Good job AMD. I mean, they wouldn't have done it unless they had simulations (or whatever) proving that it was useful. But I guess I still just don't understand what's going on.

Like NVidia is going 900GBps memory bandwidth on the 3090. The fact that a 500 GBps bus + cache beats that is hard to believe. I'll be all over the whitepaper whenever RDNA2's technical documentation comes out.

Looks great!

But the prices are a bit more than I expected, especially what will probably end up being the cost for us Canadians.

Will wait for TPR review

My questions...

What are the results not using "best API"? What is it like when the cards go H2H in DX11? DX12? Not one using DX11, the other 12.

What is the RT performance like. Not a peep...

Also, these results appear to be, as usual, the absolute best case for these cards. They are overclocking them and using the infinity cache. This is
against stock Nvidia cards. ICache, while awesome, is only with AMD based systems. With that, is it a BIOS update that enables the option in the BIOS?

I'd say it's quite obvious the RT performance likely matches the leaks, as in not favorable when compared to 30 series.
But hey a card you can actually buy at 650 with 16gb and slightly better fps then the now massively overpriced and unavailable 3080...
It's a good option.

How do you determine this currently without actual reviews of the card out?

Everyone jumping the gun from company reveal. Always important to wait for official reviews from reputable sources

You do you mate, I didn't come to here influence you, but thats what i believe right now based on the limited amount of info that's out there. :)
Im not claiming somekinda absolute "truth" or magical elven knowledge. Obviously 3rd party benchmarks will determine where it sits exactly compared to the competition, it's silly i even have to state that, it's implied.

I'm pretty much on the same page although with the very little they actually showed I'm pretty impressed maybe the first time since the 7970 AMD has got my interest at least a little.

Oh, these are impressive no matter what. Beyond my expectations, for sure (except that power use... same ballpark as NV so... they don't have that). I'm just wondering what the 'pedestrian' intel users will get if they aren't running the 5000 series CPU and X550/X570 chipset combo for that extra boost. Some games it was a few %, a couple much higher. I think it's great marketing to buy into the ecosystem honestly.

It's sort of a kick in the pants to X470/B450 users for those boards that will end up supporting the new CPUs.

Reviewers have a handful of a job to do...
Testing on X570, B550 with ZEN3, ZEN2(on 500 and 400 also), Intel systems...

By the way, I hope by now it is known that Infinity Cache and SmartAccessMemory are 2 completely different things.
Infinity Cache is for all the same. Only SAM is for ZEN3+500+RDNA2 combo.
