Disabling TAA with DLSS seems like it would make sense to consider if testing DLSS's image quality.
TAA automatically gets disabled when DLSS is enabled.

DLSS 2.0 is a form of TAA, stacking TAA algorithms will definitely yield terrible results

I take back my comments or you can simply delete it as I was at fault. There is a temporal upscaling setting that is set to 50% for me. I am sure it will be set to 100% for for you. when I change it to 100% it is at 38fps at 100% at 1440p. Setting it to 50% gives me 40 to 55fps...

Explain why my comment is silly ? beyond the bullshit we are all enthusiasts here and willing to throw money at Nvidia and Amd and be dazzeled by reflections and oh my how good are the graphics.
They are not, they are still cartoonish and all the marketing crap mean nothing when you can get the same thing for 400$ in one place and for 3000$ in another place (decent desktop PC)
It's just that simple, consoles are superior to PC's for games, cheaper, better, much more games and better.
Buy a console for games and buy a PC for work, a "gaming" GPU costs more than a console.

If you disable DLSS in the game does it automatically enable the TAA in that game if that was the chosen post process AA? Like in the DLSS off versus DLSS quality comparison is it using TAA for off? It happens to look more sharp and detailed the color takes a serious digger with DLSS it looks like and the reflections from wet and damp puddle region on the sidewalk near the lamp post in that cobblestone street scene is evident. The sky looked more dynamic as well without DLSS and the metal fencing got seriously screwed up with DLSS by comparison. Even in the lighting and shading got impacted negatively in fact.

That said despite all of those things I don't see DLSS as a failure even though it's questionable on quality and also needs to be implemented on a game by game basis which is arguably the bigger problem it suffers. The performance benefits are quite pronounced. I'm curious how the extra details setting that adjust LOD bias could play into some of those differences mentioned. Does it help negate or exaggerate DLSS problems and concerning issues could be insightful. Do you think AMD/Nvidia will ever do a multi-frame sampled anisotropic filtering option? or what a bout a multi-frame LOD bias?

Not at all from what I understand. It adjusts geometry, not texture detail, this is not "LOD bias"

So basically it's a LOD for geometry detail to scale it from PC quality downward to whatever say Nintendo's to spare a few additional FPS in the process. I take it trims stuff in the distances and as you scale the setting further impacts more of the closer scenery further.

I was thinking of the actual "LOD bias" and how that would play into the TAA/DLSS AA aspect of things. The geometry is interesting though I don't know if that qualifies as mesh shading or not or does it need to cull the portions of geometry that is unseen to the naked eye to save performance to quantify as such?

The mesh shading was the most interesting aspect of Turing to me actually it doesn't get talked about a whole lot, but it's going to be rather cool in the future for certain especially when combined with scene physics in general. Blowing up a dense asteroid field with various weapon types will be quite neat and see how all the debris floats around and breaks apart.

cause any game that was realeased on ps2-ps5 and is not exclusive
will ALL run on a mondern pc
also 3000 DOLLARS for decent pc is garbage i got my pc for 800 new and its fine
and as for better how is that ps3 holding up in 2020? wut cpus a bit slow just upgr... OH WAIT you need a whole new console

I hope Far Cry 6 will be far better optimized for PC unlike this or valhalla, or my 1080 Ti won't even get 75fps in 1440p ultrawide.
Far Cry 5 was not that hard to run at launching. Crossing my fingers for Far Cry 6.

That's not a linear relationship. 1.5 million fps is not 50% "smoother" to look at than 1 million fps.
15000 kbps music is not 50% clearer to listen to than 10000 kbps music.

if you cnt run it at max turn settings down
