I've been using the Apogee GTZ with the Xigmatek crossbow backplate (to avoid that dumb placed chip). Now I'm using the Heatkiller 3.0 (Amazing block btw), which has a really nice mounting system, but doesn't work with the crossbow backplate.
I really want to avoid the dremel, so any ideas of a backplate that is Heakiller compatable and has a hole to avoid this chip:

When I had my Danger Den block on I just used threaded rod and solid thick washers to help suppot it on the motherboard.

Just take the treaded rod and use a nut and washer behind the board, then washer and nutand tighten it down to the mobo. Slide the block on them, use combination of springs washers and possibly thumbscrews to tighten for tension on the block.
