Hi! i wanna go Watercooling on my PC but never installed a Watercooler in my entire life, so noob, and im worried about the TUBING, LEAKING, that kind of stuff, i skipped watercooling my entire life cause Liquids never go well with electronics hahaha but im going to take a chance, so!

i wanna cool an FX 8320 Stock, no OC, actually i have an Artic 7 Pro rev 2, its doing nicely but i think watercooling can do better, and my chances to get a system for watercooling its limited to Corsair brand, others like Cooler master are hard to find here and Corsair gives me good prices

Can you give me some advices on watercooling, its good, how about maintenance, quality of tubing (i dont want a leak!) and i give you a list of my current avaliable watercooling options.

Thank you a lot for all your responses, and excuse my bad english!

Corsair: H60, H75, H80i and H100i. getting a new case with any of this options so no problem installing the radiator

LoL

If you are just wanting to try liquid cooling with corsair H60 will be best. Cheaper and works well.
Plenty of reviews on it and some videos on line.

Looks like you're talking about an AIO water cooler. If any of those will fit, take the H100i as it'll give the best performance of the one a you mentioned.

I use an H80i now on one of my rigs, and it works really well. I had an H60 as well as a Coolit Evo that was the same as the H60, and I didn't love them. Worked well enough I guess, but the others are better.

The only real maintenance you're looking at is cleaning the dust off the fan(s) and out if the rad. These closed loop AIO things don't require maintenance like opening, filling, bleeding, etc.

Go for the largest that will fit, the H100i.
The others aren't as good mainly due to capacity and surface area.

H100i is a 240 mm radiator. Won't fit a M9 case unless its modded a ton. Not good.

H80i is a thick single radiator, with corsair link. Not all that for a stock cpu.

H75 has dual fans and has 25mm thick radiator. Might be tight with dual fans. Not needed on a stock cpu or even
slightly over clocked.

H60 25mm radiator, one fan. Works great. (fan/pump can be louder than others, all though I haven't done a build with on in some time)

Still say H60 for first timer, for the cost and ease. Will perform very well.

H55 might be even better for you if its available to you. Smaller hose's. The clearance from side of cpu mount and first mem slot is a little less. I have never used one of these, but its supposed to be a Quiet Edition. Price about the same as H60.

If you are not overclocking you are already running a good cooler better than the stock cooler there is literally no viable reason to get even a better air cooler.

If in fact you are going to grab a new case that will allow for a dual radiator, I strongly, like @manofthem suggested, running the H100i!!!

I have been running one on a Intel socket 1150 4790K system for close to two years. My system runs World Community Grid crunching 24/7/365 at 100% and I have never had that chip run above 55C since firing it up!!

Amazing performance for an AIO water cooling solution.

how about the maintenance? its that coolant lasting for how many years before a change?

With that chip, there isn't any point of getting a better cooler if you're not overclocking, and if you do get a AIO then you're just wasting money by not overclocking the chip to push it and see what it really can do.

Hmm, not sure honestly. There isn't a way, other than breaking the factory seal, of changing the fluid in the Corsair units. I haven't seen an issue in almost 2 years. When I purchased the unit it was about 6 months old.

I think the OP is wanting to delve in the water cooling world. Doesn't really matter if its overkill. :p

If you are going to buy a new case, I'd actually suggest the Corsair H90 or H110, which both use 140mm fans. The larger fans allow for larger radiators, and also less noise. I use an H90 in my memory review rig, and the H110 in my motherboard review rig.

These coolers aren't filled with water per se; it's actually a water glycol mix, heavy on the glycol. This means that the coolant is not as prone to "wasting away", as water would. I'd suggest planning on replacing them in the 30-36 month range, or, if you are a bit "handy", you can replace the coolant and tubing, add a reservoir, and refresh the unit. Since these Corsair coolers are not designed to be taken apart, you do need to have a bit of knowledge about such things, but having a couple of years to figure stuff out shouldn't be a problem. ;)

Corsair makes coolers for just about every case design, as do several other brands, so don't limit yourself to Corsair watercoolers! You'll get the bet compatibility with a Corsair cooler inside a Corsair case.

so theres a nice lifetime for the coolant, so no worries on that!

Pump failures being another cause for concern(on top of potential leaks, coolant degradation, and every other thing that can possibly go wrong). All in all, it's more about the reliability factor than anything else IMO. It's never a bad idea to cool things better(in theory, and since cooler temps do no harm). But it can be a bad idea depending on which way it's done. Weigh the risks vs. the rewards. In this case it sounds like the risks significantly outweigh the rewards. If extending the life of the CPU is the main goal. Since the differences between air cooled or water cooled would in this instance(not overvolted or overclocked) be nonexistent. IOW, that's not a good reason to do it at all. Water cooling will do you no good whatsoever in those regards(given your circumstances). You've probably read some misleading statements saying it will "enhance the lifetime of your components". Trust me, in your case, it won't. Not even the tiniest little bit. And it's certainly not worth the risks involved by trying. If that's what your trying to do.

You'll have more issues and gateways for failure and it's not an investment. An investment is something that is going to keep your processor at safe temperatures and if say, a fan fails it'll still keep the processor safe while you'll be able to see or hear what's going on.

I had a Deepcool Lucifer which could've ran my (at the time) $320 processor PASSIVELY in case one or both fans died suddenly. That's an investment since it would've protected it. I went with a AIO because I wanted to overclock while keeping my processor in good temps, and it did that. I knew the potential issues going in with buying it but that's on me. However, again, more gateways for failure but that's overclocking anyway.

TL;DR you're not protecting anything going into watercooling, you're just making more risks in your situation. You wanted advice, you got it.

There is never a reason for someone running a processor at stock to watercool.
