I can offer little objective advice at this point. Of course, I would always prefer our radiators. It is clear, and this is a general finding for all those who operate water cooling. The more FPI, the more pressure the fans have to generate. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but as a rule, radiators with lower FPI are more suitable for silent operation. Radiators with a lot of FPI are usually more performant when using fans with higher speeds. But in the end, the differences are rather minor in everyday use.
You say you can offer little advice, but the simplyconfirming "more FPI = needs higher pressure fans" is exactly what the OP needs to hear, to make their final decision

Are you insane? That's potentially an 800w load. I mean that in a friendly way lol. And you stated it's a 1U case, what?

Hello there
We can summon @EddyAlphacool and ask his views, personally I just got two new alphacool radiators and they're shitting on the EK rads i have prior to them

Looking at the specs on the two, AC's 20mm model has 19 FPI (fins per inch) while the XSPC TX360 has 23 FPI
I had to count them from the spec sheet but it looks like the Alphacool rad has 14 tubes vs the XSPC's 13

That'd make the AC better for lower airflow, quieter builds while the XPSC would have better performance as long as higher static pressure fans are used.

AC's radiator is 40g lighter and 8mm smaller, if space is at a premium (390 x 120 x 20mm, vs 398 x 125 x 20.5)
Thank you for the reply!

It's a costum 1.5U (Horizontal case)
Basically the fans will suck air from underneath the rack through the radiator and spit it directly outside through the top!
I think it is going to do great since all 6 fans will have direct access to cold air outside the case!

one rad for each :) I don't see the problem. Some rads have a wattage rating. I know my Hardware Labs 480 say 1600 watts lol. I guessing that is 4 fans max speed.

Hi,
Default clocks probably not problem
OC wise these thin rads are pretty inappropriate for these components matter of fact the complete opposite of high end cooling needed for oc'ing

This is one time bare minimum should be an ek pe or ex series 360 rad or HWL gtx 360 or gtr 360 x2

But what ever good luck.

7950x and 4090 preferably with dual st20 360mm rads
Just to show what to expect from this setup:

7950X:
max 250W,
gaming max 150W,
gaming avg 100W

4090:
max 450W,
UV and gaming max 350W
UV and gaming avg 275W

two 360 slim radiators with 6 quality fans in push configuration
@800 RPM will dissipate 300-400 W
@1200 RPM will dissipate 500-600W
@1600 RMP will dissipate 700-800W

So:
for GPU+CPU maxed (250+450=700W) you will need to max your fans and pump
for demanding games (150+350=500W) you shoud UV GPU and set fans to ~1200RPM
for non latest games (125+275=400W) you could go on quite slow fans but observe the coolant temps

It's not gonna work very good. Look at my sig for ex. with two 480 30mm HWL rads. This barely makes under the acceptable/tolerable range for me. Add another 300w to it on skinny 20mm, yea no thanks. It's like since Martin left the wc scene years ago ppl have forgotten his mythos of 3:1 on rads for low noise comfort regardless of ambient changes due to seasons.

We are cooling 1500W with two 360mm XT45 radiators (sandwich) in a 4U case. Fans are running with 1500rpm. With only one 360mm radiator, so without a sandwich configuration, we had less than 5° worse temperatures. Of course.... you will not have dream temperatures, but it works.

Can you take your rads external? You might have better options that way.
I actually meant 1.5U. And no unfortunatly because it is not going to be esthetically pleasing :(.

I just found out about your 40mm server radiators and have been wondering how many

Alphacool NexXxoS HPE-60 Full Copper X-Flow 40mm Hepta (7x40mm) Radiators

would I need to dissipate 800w if I pair these radiators with Noctua NF-A4X20 in push configuration?

Hi,
Inappropriate
Just get the "two 360mm XT45 radiators" he posted about they are plenty thick.

Ah right, the 45mm total clearance
The AC 30mm is thinner in practise than my old 30mm EK due to how it all screws in with the fans (same fans, too) - math said it wouldn't be, but my RAM fits with a lot more space now

Also where are you rockin this badboy? On a desk, workbench, rack etc ?
There are a ton of external options that look sweet and don't take up much space at all depending on where your rigs located.

There are definitely more elegant external solutions these days, i'm tempted on working a ghetto one into my loop with quick disconnects

There are a ton of external options that look sweet and don't take up much space at all depending on where your rigs located.
Don't laugh at it :/
Excuse my amature schematic :)!
As of right now I'm rocking it in my mind but yes it will end up on my desk.

Sooooo you don’t actually have a chassis yet? What are you designing this for? What components? Where will it be located? Why do this at all? Not that you couldn’t have a reason, but there are plenty of cases on the market…

Honestly lost in your threads. Are you just building around the PSU? If so, why? If you stopped teasing us with your vision and presented the plan, we might actually be able to help, rather than having meandering conversations about physics when you’re just trying to run a PSU that probably doesn’t need active cooling. But maybe it does? You haven’t let us know :(

What we do know:
1200w server grade PSU
800W of components?
Custom loop
1.5U for some reason?
The rest is a mystery you’re holding out on ;)

Well I travel a lot so I'm trying to build a 1U laptop.
I got inspiration from this guy on youtube.
But mine will be better in every way!

Nah this one is actual 1U but I have another layout that I decided it was not worth it :(.
As far as components go:
Ryzen 9 7950x
Rtx 4090+Block AlphaCool.
-Psu 1200w Hawlet Pakard.
-Mother board also haven't decided but will likely be something 17x17cm itx packed with maximum features.
-Ram(haven't decided but probably 64gb)
-3x (7x) 40x40x60mm rads AlphaCool.
-1x (4x) 40x40x60mm rad AlphaCool.
-24x Noctua Nf-a4x20/SunonMaglev MF40201VX-1000U-G99.
-The case and everything else custom.
-Pump Laing DDC+Top or 2x DC-LT 3600+Top.
-Tubing TPV from AlphaCool.
-12.7x6.7mm low profile fittings AlphaCool.
-Cpu block 1U xpx or equivalent also from AlphaCool.

-Case material 3mm Aluminium sheet.
-Case Dimensions 65x50x40cm.
-Screen size 27"( haven't decided what monitor to get it from but has to be 4k 120hz).
-24 40x40mm chrome fan grills.
