Watercooling suggestions needed.

Thinking about getting this and this . What tubing and fittings should I use with this setup?

Haha I should have stated that. For starters I want to cool the 920 but down the track would like to get a 5870 and cool it aswell. That's why I thought the 3x120 would be the way to go.
I am just unsure on the best tubing and fittings to use in regards to size and quality as I am a watercooling virgin .

I was looking at that but I like the idea of having the rad/pump and res all in one.

I have always used 7/16 tubing on 1/2 fittings

Personally, I'm not too fond of the integrated pump/rad thingy as you're limited to a vertical installation only. The pump used is an excellent pump but you cannot increase efficiency by adding the EK top on it as is.

My recommendation is get a seperate pump and rad.

A dual 140 or triple 120 will be ok for your i7 920 and 5850.

I have plenty of room in my case at the front for vertical installation. As long as what I am looking at will do the job.

I have a 120.3 on my 920@4.2GHz and the temps run ~60C.

This is running Folding@home 24/7

So this will give you idea of what you need, a triple rad should be suffice

I only say 7/16 tubing on 1/2 " barbs, becaus4 it makes a very tight fitting and you have less chance of leaks.

EDIT: To make 7/16 fit on 1/2 " barbs you just need to heat the tubing up a little and it will stretch over the barb OK

The temperature difference between 3/8" and 1/2" ID tubing is very very minimal. I use 3/8" ID (ID stands for inner diameter in case you were wondering) tubing and I came from 1/2" ID tubing and I didn't notice a difference at all. I like 3/8" because it looks a lot less bulky.

Also, the tubing I would recomend is Primochill's Primoflex Pro LRT tubing. Out of all the tubing I have used this was the best, plus no cloudiness of the tubing.

If you use 3/8" tubing you will need 3/8" fittings. I like Bitpower fittings because they utilize a recessed O-ring.
