Just bought a WD blue 4TB from CEX. i only got it from there as the DOM is 03/21, so it is very new. it appears to be beeping randomly. is it fubard?

Beeping seems to mean one of 2 things, either the motor is struggling to spin or there's a power issue. If you're not seeing power issues elsewhere in the pc I'd RMA that thing asap and move anything vital off of it.

Took it back to CEX, they replaced it with another drive, same model, DOM 01/03/21.......no beeps. Guess that 3mth old other drive was nuked. I'm going to put my steam folder on it, so need reliable really.
