WZUBB TPU!!!
My laptop HDD always makes a loud click when shutting down the laptop - the moment when the screen turns off.....it's a scorpio bluw 250GB SATA 2.5" HDD 5400RPM.
It's bun making this noise since forever....only when the HDD stops spinning (shut down / sleep / Stand by)......S.M.A.R.T. is excellent, temps ok and dont have any slow loading times or any other crashes / problems.....my guess would be that the "head" is parking which cuases the noise but im not a hard disk expert so I rely on the wise gurus here! :toast:

It's normal. I have similar noise in a D630 with a Hitachi inside.
