I recently got my WD ultrastar DC HC550 enterprise HDD through amazon. It is direct from amazon themselves not a 3rd party seller. It came in a sealed anti static bag and brown box. I took it out to check the warranty status of this HDD and all I keep getting is "no result found". I tried registering it and it also said no result found error. Does this mean this is an OEM drive? I never got it through a third party seller at all. Should I return it? I cannot seem to able to register it at all or see its status.

check out the part number.

for example seagate drives have their own part number just for amazon (it has a Z in the last 3 letters)
maybe it's the same thing with WD drives
