weird mouse problem with crysis warhead/wars

so i installed crysis wars/warhead on a fresh install of vista home premium 64bit and it wont read my mouse locations or something. i can only go about 2/3 over to the left of the screen and when i go that far it reads it as im all the way to the left. so it is misreading the mouse location in some manner. i have all the updates on all hardware/firmware/software patches. any ideas?

Have that problem on occasion, I've found that a simple restart of the game fixed it for me. usually happened when I would alt-tab or something like that.

Right click the exe file, go to - Properties - Compatibility

Check "Disable Desktop Composition"
