So I recently got a xBox 360 from a friend for free. He also gave me the power supply, controller and AV cables. They were all ok, until I tried to plug it in. I looked it online, and it appears that I have the Jasper model. But the internals say otherwise. On the case says 12V 12.1 Amps, which means it is the Jasper model, but it doesn't have an HDMI port, neither a cuttout in the case, which would have been the sign of a changed case. The power port on the motherboard is the xenon one (because of the missing HDMI). My questions are:
1. How is this possible?
2. Can I mod the Jasper power supply to power the xBox on?
Thanks

Looks like Jasper stickers on a first Gen Xbox 360.
What rating does the power supply have written on it?

I don't think the powersupply was from this xBox, because my friend threw lots of electronics away, and I picked out what I thought was worth taking.

Even if you made the plug fit by modifying it, the power rating is different.
I'm no sure why someone would change the sticker though.
If he's throwing stuff out go back and look for another power brick than can plug in with the correct rating.
I think it's 12V 14A, Google should help.

Maybe he gave you the wrong PSU? though that unit has definitely been pulled apart, might be better getting the correct power supply off ebay for $10

The stickers do look legit, I peeled of the smaller one and it doens't have any glue residue, although they aren't centered on the case. Would that power supply be enough to just power it on for 1-2 minutes to test it?

I'm onto it, but here in Germany they cost more than the xbox itself :/, i've been hunting a power supply since I got it.

I need 12V and 16,5 Amps. He already threw the rest out, so it's too late :(

Should be if you can modify the plug to fit.
