Well, I think the FS/FT Forum Rules are debateable...

I responded to you and you said half of what I said belonged in General Nonsense. I disagree and found it rude. Honestly If you don't like the way things are run, why stick around?

No, I said half of what you said is referring to thread I had made in General Nonsense (a thread about forum etiquette). Which is what I thought you were referring to. That is quite different from what you just posted. Yes context is important.

Whether or not someone responds to a PM is really of no consequence to me. I just know who I won't be doing business with in the future.

Ah, I apologize for the miscommunication. I had no idea about the gn thread. Now I understand, again sorry if I came off rude. :toast:

Ok now that that is settled, Is it unreasonable to ask a seller/trader to update the status of the items for sale when that status changes? I'll make no bones about it, I wanted that WC rig, BADLY. I waited for days for a response from the guy. When he finally responds in the thread and not to a PM (which would have been the fastest solution) and then also says that the items were sold, yet never updates the OP with this info, well I think there's something inherently wrong with that. And I don't think that's an unreasonable response.

I hate it when people do that, some people will PM you, but not change their OP.... like WTF???? Usually only happens with new members though

Oh, and erocker can seem "rude" sometimes, but once you know him a little, you understand he doesn't want to offend you at all lol, he just happened to be a little stressed or something when he responded to you :p (well this time was miscomprehension but wtv) Then you start finding it funny :D But erocker is a great guy ;) no doubt about it

My family lives in Bakersfield, and the shortest of us is me, at 6'3. GOD how I wish we could have gone and met him face to face.

What if I can prove my reputation?

What if I can prove my reputation so I can post in the FS/WTB section? I have been out of the computer building thing for about 10 years now. My computer took a crap on me and I am looking at building a nice rig to last me another 10 years, BUT IM ON A BUDGET. So that is why I am wanting to post in the WTB Section so I can get some good deals, but I cant, because most of my time spent on this website has been reading and researching before coming in and just post 100 different questions.

I have been a member of Ebay since January 1999 with 100% Feedback.
I have been a member of the following forums. Bought and sold from all of these with references.

You do that by waiting the 2 weeks and contributing. Browse around, find some stuff, use the search function.

EDIT: Curse you erocker!

I think we are lucky to even have a forum to sell and trade our stuffs, fee-free unlike e-bola bay. Follow the rules, since well they are SOOO DIFFICULT or maybe they will get tired and of it all and just delete the BST forum.

That we are lucky to have that section. I have, over the past 10 years, found alot of great deals on online message boards. Mainly when I am upgrading my stereo in my truck. It helps alot of us DIY people

The rules at TPU should be the standard for forum trading. Sometimes I go to other forums and get so frustrated when they do not have rules like ours here. One time I posted something for sale and I had links to 10 other threads across the web that had the same thing i was selling for $5-10 less posted in my fs thread or links to other items that cost more than what I had. also, people posting items for sale with no pics/names... it's a bad way to get ripped off.
