What 5 Games are you most Anticipating?

There are a ton of Games on the horizon in the PC space (and hardware). Some are in Alpha, some in beta and some are just not ready yet. Here are my five most anticipated Games in no particular order.

Marvels Avengers: Spiderman was a great Game on the PS4. Jedi Fallen Order (In terms of Gameplay) convinced me that Disney is serious about making great games for their franchises.

Cyberpunk 2077: Do I need to say anything? If Death Stranding is getting rave critical reviews for basically being in a solitary environment Cyberpunk should be the next fulcrum Game since Wing Commander, Freespace-Freespace 2, Diablo, Half Life or Crysis that defines a generation in the PC space.

Everspace 2: Darkstar One mixed with some freelancer? I lauded the first one but I had it confused with House of the Dying Sun. As a result I bought the Alpha offer on Steam. There is not a ton to do but it is fun and the controls are kinetic with a nice RPG element.

Torchlight 3: The original Torchlight was one of the best ARPGs I have played the 2nd was just better. It is not as deep as Grim Dawn. It is not as popular as Diablo but just as kinetic in terms of Gameplay. I look forward to fishing for upgrades and raising skeletons in totally new environments.

Star Wars Squadrons: Based on what I have seen I may be getting a new VR headset to play this Game (Half Life Alyx too). They leaked Capital ships the other day.

Honorable Mention: Total War Warhammer 3 but I am currently dealing with a Druchii (confederated) invasion and Orc Invasion in my separated kingdom that is Yvresse so I am pretty satisfied with that franchise for now.

Most of the Games on my list are are popular and have lots of buzz. Is yours different, if so how; are there sleepers or franchises that you enjoy?

Star Wars Squadrons: Have always loved Star Wars and since I never got to play the old dogfighting games like X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter, Jedi Starfighter, etc, I'm excited for this one. Hope the controls are better than the ones they had for dogfighting in the newer battlefront games - never was fond of them.

Horizon: Zero Dawn: While not a new game, I never got around to playing this one on my PS4 and would like to give it a try.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Although I feel like I'm getting burnt out on games a lot quicker these days thanks to increased playtime due to quarantine, I still have a healthy rotation I run through with my friends and some things in my backlog I really should get around to playing. I'll usually bounce around between Valorant, Heroes of the Storm, Civ VI, and FIFA with my buddies. If I'm not feeling any of those, I've got Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice to continue, as well as some post-story content in Control.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 because BotW completely blows my mind lol

I hear you on Squadrons and your fear it is also mine. They better make it right though as they shouldn't have to worry about blending FPS and Space Sim controls.

I got my nephew into PC gaming and he lost his mind when he found out it was coming to PC.

I hear you on the burn out. I have been playing a ton of Grid 2019 lately because of that. It is an excellent pickup and play arcade style racer. It has great physics. I also have started a new Campaign in Dawn of War 2. I played retribution but never the original game. I have 3 but I rarely play it (for some reason it is lacking in fun factor and familiarity vs the previous games). Control is great but I found my Friday Gaming sessions are usually Division 2 with some friends or TWWH2 if everyone's busy.

Those are indeed some killer Games from Nintendo. Metroid should be interesting I hope it captures the nostalgia of Metroid.

Avowed I reckon will be enjoyable, but mediocre. Its just the limit of what Obsidian can do and have done. So far though all we saw was a poorly rendered fiery arrow. It feels a bit like MS was scrambling to get some footage out and this is all they got.

And reading the topic... oh shit yea. Horizon ZD. That's five then.

Why BG3 on number one? Because Larian has some amazing talent, and they always give things an original twist. I'm sure BG3 is for them like the epitome of cRPG development, much like CDPR is riding on CBP2077 as their prestige project. These things count, because they are fantastic motivation for the team. And also. Its goddamn Baldurs Gate, guys, risen like a Phoenix from its ashes. Good things do last. This feels like the actual release of what HL3 would be for shooters, to me.

I take it you saw the demos and the Azure technology underneath? It is indeed mouth watering and from a tech standpoint, pretty amazing. My jaw was on the floor.

Avowed is timed exclusive on XSX I reckon. They did mention PC as well.

There are no XBX exclusives, afaik. Everything is coming to PC.

Halo Infinite (The gameplay demo was pretty underwhelming I've enjoyed the previous 2 343 made campaigns for at least a play through)
Final Fantasy VII Remake 2 (if its out on PS5 a year early I will grab it on that)
Fable (This seems a really long ways out but I believe in playground games at least from a technical perspective)
Cyberpunk 2077
Horizon Zero Dawn 2 (PS5 version not waiting 3-4 years for a PC release)

Yeah could be, but those were a long time ago by now... The Outer Worlds didn't exactly strike me as a masterpiece. Pillars was hit and miss. Tyranny was original but short and felt rushed beyond the second chapter.

Being that it will be on Xbox Game Pass and it is a Microsoft owned studio, it'll be on the Xbox/Windows Store for sure. Remains to be seen if Microsoft wants to share.

As much as i do agree with you, it's sad that the AI in DOS1\2 don't use the same rules as the player, gets tiring with their spamming.

1. Halo Infinite. I'm cautious about this one because 343 has been consistently f***ing up for a decade, but I'm still a massive Halo fan. That gameplay demo didn't rest easy with me either, but at least they delayed it and seem to be taking the issues seriously for once. Hopefully they can solve their obvious management issues and get their s**t together.
2. CP2077.. I mean, duh.
3. Halo 4 on PC. Always liked the way Halo 4 looks (very pretty game, and it's amazing it even ran on the 360) and the campaign's all right IMO.
4. COD: Black Ops: Cold War. Always been a fan of the Cold War era (BO1 is definitely on my top 3 favorite games of all time) and having an actual Black Ops game that isn't utter trash like BO3/BO4 is refreshing, hopefully it'll be good but I don't have high hopes for Treyarch anymore. Nice to see them go back to the BO1/flashbacks of BO2-timeline (60s-80s) and revisit the characters of Mason, Woods and Hudson, even if I don't particularly like some of the new voice actors.
5. Far Cry 6. Hoping it'll be at least semi-close to FC3 in terms of fun, FC4 and FC5 (and Primal) were subpar at best IMO. Although from the few screenshots I've seen of the guns and such it looks like a Metro-copy, which makes literally no sense. Eh, I don't know about this one, I have no faith in the franchise but I'm cautiously optimistic.
