Hi,

Was wondering what load temps are you guys getting on your 970 Pro's? I put mine into a heatsink before taking measurements to see whats the difference. I am in the northeast and its about 65 degrees F right now outside. So someone with similar ambient temps please post your temps. Mention if your case is well ventilated. Thank you.

I mean the max temp of the controller after running a round of anvil benchmark. Thats usually the 2nd second temp reading on Hwinfo for the drive.

Whoa. I see 88°C while running the benchmark. Holy crap, that's a LOT! That's 190°F.
No hetsink.

Oh, and it seems to be idling at 60°C or 140°F. If we take temperature 2.

Screenshot? Hows your airflow? Is it under a graphic card? Laptop?

Why screenshot?
My airflow is ok, and the SSD is in PCIe slot.

I guess it just overheats easily when running intensive benchmarks.

Im not sure what the significance is of stress test temperatures in this scenario ? I have been working all day (mostly AutoCAD) and max temp was 39C. Just loaded a game and it didn't change.

Probably none. I've been copying huge files for a few hours, and the temperature is sitting somewhere below 70°C.
