My ambient is 65F and thats only during the summer. I keep my apartment really cool temps though. :D

it seems weird you're asking this information mainly for idle and load of 45nm CPU's, when 45nm intels are known to have useless temp sensors at idle.

Sure but you can get the same results with much less money rather easily. ;)

A nice P35/P45 can take an E8400 to 4Ghz and beyond easily. It matters much more what chip you choose really.

my x48 was cheaper than a P45.

Bought dfi p45 t2rs plus 132 euros and dfi x48 t2rs 109:toast:(for free actually ,RMAed something:toast:)

Yap they OC well but not like the p45 i must admit...Hard from 500 and above but they have 32 pcix lanes so its worth it!
