What coolant are you guys using?

I'm just curious and want to share story. After having a bad experience with distilled+bio+coil, which was partly my fault, as the computer was sitting for an extend amount of time and draining it was something that I was meaning to do but kept putting off until I eventually forgot about it. When I got back to it, there was a white-ish, sediment-like gunk all over, it coated everything. Needless to say I tossed and replaced all the tubing and scrubbed the blocks/fittings clean. Determined to not use water again and not lose out my free weekend due to no coolant, I grabbed a half empty bottle of Subaru Super Coolant I had laying in the garage, quick check: inert, anti-corrosive, non-conductive, toxic(shit won't grow in it), and found out much later a bonus perk visible leak detect. Been using it for almost a year now other than a oily residue it leaves on surfaces, it the shade of blue it is doesn't quite match the 80's Miami Blue/purple/orange theme I have going(thinking about experimenting with dyes) and this stuff is awesome and cheap(~$5/L). What are you guys using?

I stick to EK's CryoFuel or Mayhems Pastel fluids, I've had zero issues using them and maintenance is simple enough to me with few issues if I run it over a 12+mo span.

I just use RO water and a splash of ethylene glycol in my daily system. Never need any maintenance other than topping up the coolant occasionally.

I'm up in the air at the moment ... the mayhems pastel turned from red to black on me... chek out the thread on Overclock.net for similar experiences ... lotta raving responses from mayhems there tho. It's about due for a fluid change and I haven't decided yet .. want to take the blocks apart and see what is inside first.

Just a note, just because something is toxic to humans doesn't mean crap won't grow in it. I've seen loops running anti-freeze before just loaded with nasty algae gunk.

Really dislike Mayhems (mainly Mick's inability to talk with customers without immediately becoming defensive and rude), but I got some Pastels second hand at a fraction of the cost of new- I run the concentrate diluted with HPLC grade ultra pure water in my loop.

Yep, after his tantrum when people started complaining about the pastels changing color Mayhems went on my short list of companies that will never see my money.
