I think you should either go 22" or HDTV.

it's not a bad thing for a monitor to be Full Hd and have all those inputs, but for $300USD you could buy 2 comparable 22" displays, that had well over HD resolution - with less inputs.

As long as you realize this is basically a small HDTV, and that's what you are going for - then all is well. but unless you can't afford it or don't have the room - get a separate hdtv as well as a larger display. I'm not trying to tell you to spend a whole lot of money - but $300USD is already halfway to a 42" HDTV Full HD. why spend that on a 22" display when you can get an equivalent 22" for closer to $150USd(110 euros?)

I am thinking about what u say...U might be right in some points.
The thing is that i need a monitor+ tv cos of the fact that i want to connect an xbox 360 or my Gamecube so ut will be ideal for me...
An of course it will be of reasonable size for my pc desk!I want it for my room not for the living room!
And cos i wasnt planning on buying a monitor soon but i found this and i think its quite a bargain for the prices here...!
So u get why i think i am gonna buy it?

yes and that makes sense.

The 360 has a vga connector cable available, that will give you the high resolution on a normal 22". it's vga not hdmi, so audio would have to be run separate - but it does work in HD (1080p) the connector is like 30USD

I don't know about the gamecube.

what I would do then if I were you, is look at a Vizio or similar 22-32" tv. as long as it has hdmi or vga (and they normally do) it will work with your computer as well as the consoles. you will get more size for the money. (i know it's for a desk, but still - im optimizing)

when you buy a monitor you pay a premium because it is a monitor. if it is big it is an enthusiast market product. a tv is just a tv. the components do not cost vastly different prices, and many times the competing TV Manufacturers (ie smaller ones) will add a ton of features for nothing. look for Vizio.

but - it does look like a good display. it has a ton of features. it's up to you whether finding cables for the consoles, etc is worth the savings.

either way I think you have a good enough understanding of what you are trying to accomplish to go in the right direction. good luck :)

Either go for the Samsung SyncMaster 2333HD, or spring another 50€ and go for the Samsung SyncMaster T240HD, which is by far one of the best TN based monitor/TV combo's out there.

lol £150 more for the T240HD over the 2333HD

Your partly right...T240HD costs 290euros here...How about Samsung SM2433BW that is 223 euros???
I think its adentical to the LG i wnt minus the TV feature.Would this mean it is of better quality or cos its 24"?

There s also this LG W2442PA-BF TFT that has 2ms!!!On discount 209 euros!
