1200, 1440 or 1600p IPS monitor, whichever is within budget (either go South Korean, or look at Asus and Dell IPS as they seem to offer the best quality)

I can recommend the HP ZR30w. Great picture quality and no issues while gaming. Your system will handle that. My 2600k system handles it with the 7970 (OC'ed to 1100/1400 when needed for Crysis3, everything else(Borderlands2/CoD4/MechWarriorOnline,...) stock 925/1375) and gets anywhere from 40 to +60 fps(35-40 for Crysis3/highsettings).
