Is this a good card to upgrade to, it costs almost twice as much as my current GPU.

Yes you'll notice a diff on that monitor... OC it as far as it will physically go when you get it and you can get above stock gtx 280 perf.

It is the extreme + edition, so it is already overclocked.

Stock GTX260: 576,999,1998
EXTREME+: 602,1107,2214

Stock GTX280: 602,1107,2214

So it has the same clock as a stock Leadtek GTX280!
