what do you think of this memory?

so i decided to jump the gun and order first and inquire after but i picked this up off newegg should have it in a couple days and i'm wondering what to expect? please let me know if you have this or know someone who's using it?

i hope i made the right choice, i really only needed to hit 1120 or so, but the price seemed alright and the reviews are reletively good, most say it hits 1200 or so so at lower speed i might get a decent latency out of it?

yeah i was gonna get the tracer's but i hear a lot about dead sticks and the like, and i wanted a guarenteed clock speed of ddr2 1120. the reason i went about was to do that. at my current cpu speed i can either do 1120 or 960, well my corsair won't even boot at 1066 but runs 4,4,4,12 at 960, i was hoping for something that very well get me 4,4,4,12 at 1120 or maybe even higher?

i mean i can still cancel the order but i need to be guarenteed to hit 1120 stable. will the tracers do that??

lol, yes it is, but my cpu is never going to post anywhere near 1200 lol

it looks good, i'm reading on all the reviews, everyone says it hits it stock speeds and in most cases goes to 1200, even had one review at 1270

btw does anybody know what type of max fsb the evga 590 sli board will hit. i've never really looked into it, but in the essence of overclocking it'd be nice to hit 1200 if the patirot would do it??

Hmm that sounds familiar to me, are you using PC6400 Corsair ram? If so, are the v1.3?

no i'm using the corsair 5,5,5,5,18 crap, it defaults 1.8 or so but i got it at 2.35 at 960 4,4,4,12. the next clock range i have available for memory is in the 1100's to not alter my cpu max speed of 3.48 ghz which could give me a mem clock of 1160 at 290Fsb. so i'm hoping for a serious increase in mem performance.

1200MHz guaranteed at 5-5-5-15 and only!!! 2.2V (5-5-5-12 is also without problems). I will say that in fact that memory works without problem at 1250MHz, 5-5-5-15, 2.3V. It is better than the competition with the "low" voltage and supreme cooling. Personaly I have 4 sticks of it and of course I have bought the second kit after serious testing. You can run this memory at very low latencies with lower speed of course. All the things described are base on my personal experience with 2 different kits.

That's a 590 SLI you're using, will do. The timings seem a little tight to be stable at 2.3 V.
