Before we begin i ask everyone to please before they make any suggestions to not make fun of any WMP features that you dont like personally and to not talk bad about WMP 11 or MICROSOFT for that matter lets keep this civilized people.

ok good then

I personally would love to have the pluses and minuses that show up on the audio screen to go away whenever you go to full screen or even 1/2 screen cause it would look much more fluid not seeing wavy pluses and minus signs "COMINATCHA:laugh::laugh:"

LOL i also wouldnt mind having a better explanation in the help menu on how best to use the graphic equalizer since it can sound horrible with the settings put at a certain tone in one part of a song but in another part of the song it will sound superb:shadedshu:shadedshu:shadedshu that gets me annoyed when i think i have the perfect solution for one song and then the next song will not even sound right at all:cry:

They need to support AAC and more video formats.

Ideally, the government would force M$ and Apple to cooperate on a DRM'd format so that any music purchased online could be played on any iPod/Zune/Creative etc.

It needs to have a built in dvd decoder.... Haven't used it in a while but I remember it not being able to play dvd's without a seperate codec/driver installed. I thought that was the dumbest thing I have ever seen...

It may not be that way now so correct me if I am wrong....

It needs to support more formats. That's it.

I really like WMP11 and it's a huge improvement over the others. As long as they don't integrate the "Stores" crap any more than they have done, I'm happy.

Needs real divx support. Otherwise...it's an ok player for videos. Personally I like iTunes better for music because of the browse feature....of course I am listening to Pandora right now...how ironic :D

yes no DVD decorder is bad - however i read that this was to due to laws or something meaning you had to buy? or something thereabouts i could be wrong! for WMP12 the sync options have to made clearer, different skins in full view (changing the colour just isnt enough, all though these might be readily available), inbuilt lyrics instead of visualisation would be good there is a plugin for that but some songs are missing. better sound control would be nice plus bigger rip rates.
auto playlist like most listened to, high tempo stuff maybe?

More codecs preloaded would be nice, and overhaul or remove the visualisations, while the current ones are crap, dx9/10 enhanced ones could be cool (for 5 minutes or so at least), and more straightforward aspect ratio control, and also make the media list handle more files easier, the sidebar always takes a while to shrink, and if i scroll down straight away it reaches the bottom by F (on an A-Z list) then jumps back to halfway

At first, I thought, why mess with it, it's quite nice as-is.

However, come to think of it...

-Better visualizations would be nice
-Built in codecs is a MUST

That's it, I really love WMP11.

Well if i undertsand you correctly drunken mafia if you just want to watch a movie on WMP 11 you can without downloading any type of codec i was able to watch my bought copy of Stewie Griffin: The untold Story on it the other week just when you insert the dvd into the computer and a little pop up comes up asking what you wanna do just click play in WMP. I on the other hand am given the choice of watching it on HP Quickplay or WMP lol. Unless did you mean like burn a copy of a dvd? if you did last time i checked that was illegal and i dont think Microsoft wants to dig itself a hole deeper than it can get out of lol.

(At Zekrahminator) I love WMP 11 too:):):):) It so much improved from WMP10 in so many ways visually and from a menu standpoint too lol

WMP11 has no problem playing DVDs from standard. The one you have to pay for is if you intend to CREATE or MODIFY DVDs.

True with WMP 11 but in Windows Movie maker i think you can create movies and dvds on there lol.

Speaking of which lets get some creative ideas now people what do you want changed (and not just added) to WMP 11?

Personally i wouldnt mind seeing what the results would be if Microsoft were to merge Windows Movie maker and WMP together just to see how well they would integrate with each other. The way I see it if these 2 programs were merged together i would think it would be easier to drag and drop playlists in for a movie:D:D hello faster movies
