    I'm confused.

I thought CCFL backlit LCDs didn't go much into the UV spectrum and were therefore very much safe; even safer than CFLs and standard fluorescent lights.

As far as I know the greatest danger to your eyes when using an LCD monitor is eye strain, which might actually be mitigated by using a larger screen.

@Easy Rhino - Thanks! I looked up Computer Vision Syndrome and it's not permanent : http://www.aoa.org/x5380.xml

that and the brightness. if your screen is too bright and you sit too close to it you can develop what eye experts call computer vision syndrome. your focus can get skewed over time and you will become insensitive to light changes.

I's not as close at the pic makes it out to be. My TV sits on one deck and I sit at one in front of it and I have power savings on high.

I use two monitors regularly. If I'm feeling funky I'll bring a third or fourth around for a while, but my desk can really only comfortably fit two.

will do math now... my 42" LG monitor is 41" wide from left to right not diagonal... my logitech G11 (same body as your keyboard) is 21.5", using deductive reasoning by visually placing two keyboards side by side, or by doing simular with the claimed "19" monitor, your first picture is NOT a 50" plasma... the second picture (which is out of focus) has a different background and no taskbar or Anything similar to the first picture is might be 50", but the OP picture is not a 50" monitor...:toast: math is fun:p

or we could count task bar icons.. you have 11 and it goes halfway... I have 15 and it is jst short of halfway:nutkick:

Edit: it also doesn't matter how big it is. You're still pretty and we all still like you!

    1. i have a 50 inch tv and a 19 inch lcd
    2. its a plasma having the same background will burn it. You would know this if you knew anything about plasmas and having a closing task bar helps with burning
3.my g15 is almost 5 feet away from my tv
4.fighting over the internet is pointless

    1. I don't doubt you have a 19" LCD
    2. Yes I have a Plasma in my Living room
    3. It is not 5 ft. away if you utilize depth perception. MAYBE a foot and a half.
    4. I don't fight you said "do the math" so I did :toast:
