There's rumors of Crysis sequel or og crysis remaster in the woodworks. I played Crysis recently and while I love the lighting (crysis is the first game to bring ssao), the texture is bit dated. Not to mention it runs like ass (optimization issue mostly).

As for which game I'd put blood sacrifice for, I really don't know. I didn't play many niche games and I didn't join PC gaming until 2011 or so. But if I had to gamble, I'd like a proper sequel to og Splinter Cell games. I played the whole franchise (available on pc) a few yaers ago. While many people like the sort of reboot Blacklist, I kinda feel it's too light (as in the maps aren't dark and shadowy enough), the levels aren't tense enough. Although I wouldn't mind ubi keeping the gunplay from Blacklist. The older games have deliberate bad gun mechanics to force your hands into stealth tbh.

That or Deus Ex sequel.

Dark Cloud is one of my favorite games of all time.

Dark Cloud is my favorite game of all time. The atmosphere, the music, the characters, the entire weapon stat system, the music, the trove of secrets and dungeon replay-ability, Steve the slingshot, *the music*.

Dark Chronicle is great too, but I've not replayed it nearly as much as the first game.

I'm just waiting on System Shock reboot. It's been over 3 years since it was funded, but at least there are periodic updates on dev. progress... small and vague, but still updates.

Wouldn't hold my breath on that one. QC was ID's side project mostly outsourced to Saber, and with Tim Willits bailing off to Saber, and Saber focusing on their own stuff, and lackluster QC success, there is no way they will be able to afford another game like that. Basically ID had no deep interest in Quake in the first place, they were just probing the market cause they forgot to add monetization to DOOM MP (or judging by QC battlepass, they just didn't know how to do it properly).

Half Life episode 3. But so much time has gone by that it's unlikely that Valve will develop it. Probably the only way it might happen is if Steam goes out of business and Valve would be forced to making games again but I can't see Steam going down. A second runner up might be Portal 3. Portal 2 was hilarious in parts.
