What GPU's can fit in my bus?

Hi, so I am not too confident when it comes to choosing a new Graphics card for laptops. I know some stuff but I was looking at my graphics card (Nividia Geforce 9300m GS) and wanted to upgrade it but when I look on the GPU database the only card that has the same bus is a downgrade which is the 8400m GS.
Would a MXM-II fit in my bus of which is a MXM-I? They look very similar to be honest.
Also, what GPU would you recommend then for my Laptop if there is a possible upgrade?

MXM-I will NOT accept and MXM-II or MXM-III card. That was the last post in that thread. It was pretty clearly stated.

Notebook Graphics cards even when they can be replaced ala MXM ( any Revision ) are often restricted by the machine Bios ( locked to specific card )
You are Best Served contacting the Support site for your laptop to find out if a Different Card ( and updated Bios ) can be fitted for your unit

I cannot find my model number to contact Philips about what GPUs will fit. i googled Philips laptop models and nothing related to mine.

Only cards I am really seeing out there are the FX770M which is a workstation version of the 9600.

The likelihood of it bricking the entire thing is somewhere between slim and non-existent. As long as he has the power capabilities for the card (which MXM is a standard so it should).

Again if the Bios is locked to a specific graphics Card " It will Brick it" if a non Bios Supported Graphics card is Fitted

secondly you obviously don't have a frigging clue how bios signing actually works, because if you did you would know that so long as the vbios has the nvidia string and matching cert in it it will work:

as for the op putting a faster card in isn't gonna do much good if the rest of the system can't keep up + as cdawall said the fastest you are gonna put in there is a FX770M which is still slow by modern standards

If the Bios will not allow it to boot then it is in effect Bricked

Guys, upon reading this article. Aparently my 9300m GS is an MXM ii but on this tech powerup it is MXM i:

Basically the laptop won't start up if wrong GPU is in there.

It'll work with the original GPU, always, and not be bricked. (bricked is more perma issue)

It's just compatibility issues you're looking at. All in all a new laptop would be best.
