PSP is nice.. but the memory stick ruins it. Expensive, propriety, and Sony.

And the PSP's music playing software is very basic, just a giant alphabetical list of your music.

go with someone who actually has an iPod and a PSP. you will have fun with the PSP but the hype is more than it deserves, you will get tired of it and it wont be as fun as it was when you bought it. with the iPod think of how many thousands of songs and videos you can have. the iPod is well worth it. with the iPod, you arent paying everytime you get sick of the content you have. you can just delete the videos and get new ones. ever time you complete a game or get sick of it with a PSP, you have to buy another $50 one..

That is true. Personally, I have an ipod nano, I can watch videos (with ipod linux mind you) but all of my friends have psps and they love them. They have superior games and a bigger screen. For almost the same price!

add another 40 bucks for a 1gb microSD card off ebay, plus 10 bucks for the 1600mah battery, thats 260$ worst case scenario, it plays mp3´s (moonshell), plays videos (moonshell), plays roms trough various emulators, plays NDS roms (its a DS after all), you can run msn messenger (beup, rein), use it as a PDA (DSOrginize), theres even voip and IRC clients for it, and its still cheaper then the PSP with same amount of accesories
