what headphones are worth it?

Trying to get myself better gaming headphones. I want some really good ones but don't go over 80 usd. Anything that is amazing sound quality and nearly perfect reviews. If you have headphones you use currently let me know how you like them and the perks about them as well as msrp.

Awsome sound and best set I have had for the price for gaming.

Grado Labs SR-60 or SR-80. not really a gaming headset, but sound is very good for what you pay.
used to have SR-80, now i have SR-225

i'm wearing these headphones 10 hours a day, every day, mostly music and games, love them... very comfy for the most part...

SR-60 is even cheaper.
by not really a gaming headset i mean that there is no built in mic and no cool logos that all the little kids like these days.
its just a headset with a good open sound.

I got this bad boy from local retail store at $65. Last pair.
This price is a special discount, because Asus already discontinued the product line.
Sound quality is quite decent, plus the noise cancelling function is a nice addition.

stay away from Mad Catz headsets. I have on that was expensive but mixes very good quality with bad plastic that break in notime

They aren't my style either. They "look" low quality and I know my ears would have problems with the ear pieces

Comfortable
Sound is clean
easy to mod with a mod mic for an awesome headset.
If you want ultimate comfort look at the KNS 8400 which uses memory foam etc.

+1 with this. The only downside to just about all Corsair headphones/sets is they are quite stiff when you first get them (both structurally and drivers). Be sure to play some music or something through them for a couple of days to wear in the drivers and also put them on something about head sized to unstiffen the headband.

Headphones advice (JVC HARX 700)
My son uses those and the Logitech mic mentioned earlier. He doesn't want a boom mic.

^ This. I love my JVC HARX700, they are an awesome pair of headphones at such a great price. They officially have the best bass at such a decent price. If you really want a boom mic, then you might as well get a nice sounding pair of headphones and a ModMic:

This allows better flexibility of upgrading to an even awesomer sounding pair of headphones without worrying about a microphone, because you already have one that can be used for multiple pairs of headphones.
