What is your typical graphics card budget?

It was always around 300 bucks, but since I don't update my stuff almost daily, I'm willing to spend up to 400 for one card. That is if I can justify that with cool new games. So far, only The Duke comes to mind, and that alone doesn't justify it. Soo... yeah. But my vote's for 400-500$.

I'm willing to max out my credit card. Good thing there isn't a lot of room left currently so I'm not able to.

On a more serious note, ~$400.

If I upgrade I get one a couple months after launch and then wait ~6 months to (hopefully) let prices drift and maybe a second.

I cant equate that to USD because the markets are different. Straight conversion doesn't really work.

if i were you i would stand the card although i wont use its power to the max. like now i run over power card since i do little gaming. most video and graphic editing, but thats fine it would ok for next few years before i plan new vga or board

The HD5670 is about $70 and is pretty darn good.

yeah I noticed this gap too.... odd.

In any case I voted $300-400. this isnt the sweetspot for price/performance I know, but I tend to like paying a decent bit more for the next card up in terms of raw power. a mid-range card will always be a mid-range card.

Well, I normally spend between £250 - £300, such as on my GTX 285 a couple of years ago.

This time I blew £400 on my GTX 580 - and I swore I wouldn't.

I tried being satisfied with the much cheaper Gigabyte SoC GTX 560Ti, but when I compared the two in my rig, there was simply no contest and I spent the cash. I've not regretted it, either.

So, what's my budget? Whatever my gut tells me to spend, I guess.
