Your decision.. You need to first apply to the beta. They will accept you based on your application. I think Vista + DX10 users have a better chance of being accepted as the game does support DX10.

Well Australian DSL just blows altogether. To get the decent speed stuff you have to pay about $100 a month, which is ludicrous if you ask me.
Oh, and every plan... EVERY plan is capped. This alone is reason enough for me to move to Canada where a mate gets a 9meg line with unlimited downloads for $50 CAD a month.

well that Aussie DSL sounds pretty bad...the CAD price is 88 AUS so the price is not that much better if you ask me...but since its a good 9meg line with unlimited downloads is def something to admire

ok so...ive been thinking...maybe I should try AOC beta...but iam unsure if I would ruin the experience by playing it now?? I do not have Vista yet and my CPU is far to slow to really enjoy this game....byt he time AOC does come out..I will have Vista and the new Q9450..so I should be able to play it on DX10 with no lag....or I hope no lag!

you think Australian internet sucks?
my friend in Kazakstan has to pay $5 for a card that will let him to use incredibly crappy Dial up connection for a few hours.
You also have to be lucky to even connect to it. Line is always overloaded and you have to reconnect every 5 minutes...
And they get payed $100/month, so this internet card is like a gold for them!

Ug, I hated it. Did the beta for a while and gave up. I'd much rather play Anarchy Online than TR, and AO is free (though dated).

I played EVE for about a year, from beta through launch. It's pretty awesome, but I just couldn't quite get over the sheer amount of mining required :wtf:

As for TR being a grind fest - welcome to the world of MMO's? The difference between TR and other MMO's, is that in TR, it seriously does not feel like your grinding. You forget about it half the time, grinding is actually enjoyable mainly due to the fantastic combat system and atmosphere. But its all down to personal taste, personally, i am sick to death of the MMO market being swamped with P.O.S fantasy clones and TR is a breathe of fresh air from that.
