Thing is people saying Corsair lacks info as there is a lot of Corsairs PSU's that are not even worth looking at. Just saying there lower end models are not typically up to the standards of the higher ones some not even built by the same company and some times by a company we would never trust.

But i guess this goes for a few others in the list too.

G2's by Super FLOWER are amazing!
And yet it's not in the list :(.

FSP HydroG cuz I dislike following the trend.
Another worthy brand that should be in the list.

The only poor PSU's made by XFX are the XT series made by...Shenzhen Rui Sheng Yuan Technology , they are a cheap low quality Platform.

What is interesting to me is that now with all these new cases having PSU Shrouds, we can no longer look at the PSU, yet companies are making them look better than ever before.

My 3930/780ti rig has a XFX XXX edition 750 watt unit made by Seasonic. My 860/7770 rig surprisingly is still running a PC Power and Cooling Turbo Cool 860 that I bought used when I got my 9800 GX2 (year 2008). Back in the day, it was considered one of the best PSU made. I can see why 8 years later.

Rosewill Fortress 750w. Looks like you can't get it anymore.
Yeah, they discontinued it. It's probably one of the best ATNG platforms ever built. It was also one of the cheapest Platinum units ever made (especially at the price you got it for ;) ). Not that that means it's bad... Like I told you, I mined with those things. They may have teapo capacitors in some portions, but they simply will not die.

https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Rosewill/FORTRESS-750W/11.html

TPU gave it a decent rating. It's worst trait is that in modern specs, it's filtering isn't excellent. Still beats cheapo bronze units and such by a longshot though.

Contact me if the unthinkable happens and it goes up in flame... it still has that 8 year warranty registered to me. ;)

As for me, I use a Seasonic Prime 750W. Because despite living off social security at the moment, my PC is my baby.

Those things are solid! I used to have a silencer 750 when I was younger, wish I didn't sell it. I seem to remember that at the time not a lot compared to them, most PSU's had 2x or more 12V rails to get the same amperage and were less reliable.

I've got the EVGA 850 G2 at the moment, seems like a very good bit of kit. The only thing I'm not too keen on is the cables, I think they're a bit under-sized. I'm using 2 cables to each card and they still get pretty warm when working the gpu's hard. I've got some crimpers so I'll probably make up some nice cablemod style cables using decent guage wire at some point.

Pfft... digital Series from Corsair has been flaky to say the least or no?
My work pc is an ax1200i refurb. I have had zero issues with it holding up to a 5960x@4.7 and 3 980ti's with mild overclocks.

Don't forget about the in-line cable capacitors.

I should be acquiring an old oscilloscope soon so I'll hook that up and see if caps are needed. They aren't used on the standard cables that I can see, and they'll be less beneficial with decent gauge cable than with thin cable but might still help. Good thought. :)
