What PSU should I get?

x2 5400 @ stock getting a 125w cpu (phenom)
2 leds + 2 cathodes
1 hdd sata II + 1DVD-RW sata
3870 512/256 @ stock
2gb ram (2 sticks) later add 2 more(4gb)
and an audio card or some other pci card to come
question is what amount of watts is needed to hold my baby up! :rolleyes:

Corsair 450W would work. If wanting some headroom 550-650W or have crossfire on the brain. What's your budget?

I know there is a pretty decent modular TOPower PSU on Newegg currently that would fit the bill quite well for $50.

Or if you are on a really tight budget, get a CX400W from corsair.

With code Maypsu20, gives you free shipping on it. Not too too bad. As you know Corsair lists their continuous on the label and not the max. So you could push this psu a little bit further than 400W.

Exactly, and the Corsair has the same 12V ouput as the Topower.

Topower = 360W on 12v = 30A
Corsair 12v @ 30A

Add up all the combined wattages on the Corsair and you get 500W anyway :rockout:

That's why its only other choices and I didn't insist really on it...

The 2 last choices is if he was really tight on budget... as for the EW, I wouldn't say it is weaker than a 400W Corsair at all! I would even say it it similar or better than the 450W Corsair!

but for 50$ - 10 MIR + 9.75 ship - 10$ promo code, the corsair is a good deal
