1440x900, lighter performance than FullHD, a lot better pixel density and useful space than 1366x768, and 16:10.

I'm also happy with my visuals @ 1080p but I will buy a 1440p monitor in May this year, if I can play GTA V with at least 2xMSAA and overall same settings, I think I'll be a happy man.
I'm also really looking forward to the more real estate vs 1080p on the desktop, also it will be a 27" vs now the 21.5" I have... :D
If my GTX1070 can't run my games 1440p @ steady 60fps vsync at reasonable settings to me, well then I would switch back to 1080p as main monitor, but I think there's no switch needed.

So far I haven't had any issues with any of the games I play at 1440p, sorry WQHD with my 1070, but I guess we'll get there at some point in the future, as we always do...

My Titan X felt the impact of switching from 1080p to 1440p, so yes, it's not far off.

I can still game all my games fine mind you, but I do have dips below 60FPS whereas before, never ever.

I'm spoiled, I know.

I still remember the days when 640x480@30FPS was considered more than acceptable.
Didn't even consider gaming at 1024x768 until I traded my GF4 MX440 for a 9550 w/ 256MB vRAM.

You should easily be able to. I can run GTA V 1440P at 60FPS smooth with my 770 with some lowered settings and low AA and medium texture. It doesn't look like shit either. You'd be surprised. The jump from 1080 to 1440 isn't that big a deal anymore in requirements. Just turn down the AA. its a 2 year old game, just see how easily these older graphics cards ran it and consider you are running a 1070 which is 10% faster than the Titan X.

Great news!!
My current settings are 4xMSAA at 1080p at the moment, it seems I can leave it at that and still get my 60fps average then.:D

I remember having to run Civilization at MCGA because I only had 256k video RAM, which wasn't enough for VGA...

Still not as bad as playing QII on a monochrome screen. We used to have tournaments in college every weekend. As the youngest (I was still in school), I got the oldest K6 machine in the computer lab.
It was made of scrap, including an old black/green monochrome monitor, some parody on a horizontal desktop case (covered with Mortal Kombat stickers, as I remember), a keyboard with some missing keys etc.

Sounds like it should be a Fallout series minigame.

It was perfect for learning Turbo Pascal... the only thing that I was missing is a colored syntax highlight in Borland editor.
QII wasn't that bad either. You see something move - you shoot it :slap:

4K on most things (I usually only tart around on indie titles and Warframe/PoE) and 1080p on whatever the GPU can't handle.

Dell without a doubt.

I've heard from people that Dell IPS panels suffer a lot from IPS glow and that they are more suitable for office use. (at least the 60Hz panels)

I've heard from people that Dell IPS panels suffer a lot from IPS glow and that they are more suitable for office use. (at least the 60Hz panels)
Can you recommended a good dell 1440p resolution 27" monitor that comes with audio jack output?
