what software do you use to make dvds?

im after some free software to burn dvds that are compatable with an everyday dvd player. if you could list some decent ones id appritiate it cheers

Well windows 7 has Windows DVD Maker and its free as it comes with the OS.

Do you mean burning/copying a DVD to DVD? or a file of some type to a DVD?

Windows DVD Maker on Vista as well.

But knowing Microsoft, I think you would be better off with commercial software. I felt lucky on Google. Bit stiff with €40, though...

You have a movie file (.mkv .avi .wmp etc.) that you want to watch on a DVD player? Try the Windows DVD Maker.

If there ISO files or VOB files then get DVD FAB to burn them to disc, its a 30day trial but its awesome, and dam fast. Otherwise get Nero, an older version if you can. I use Nero 2 Express and it does it all as well.

If its a AVI file use ConvertX to DVD, its great also, (loves quad cores) only thing is it isn't free.

All those ^ will let you watch them on ya m8s DVD player.

Its awesome hey? Tried this program on a Phenom II 945 and it done the movie in less then 15mins, so quick, love it. Dual cores about 25-30mins, My FX-57 about 35mins, depending on the length of the movie.
