my choices are:

8600GT 512MB BFG
8600GTS 256mb EVGA.

my system specs are on my profile.

there is nothing wrong with my current card, i just want a gd dx10 card, hopefully to play crysis, considering im playing on a 32" HDTV and my res will be 1024*768 and AA on i think they might perform well.

Neither of those cards will give you that much of a boost in gaming... The 8600gt will probably be worse than what you have now, if gaming at a higher than 1024x1280 res. The 8600GTS may be a little faster but not by much..

I would definitely go with one of the new ATI cards.. They are cheap and out perform anything else in the price range by a mile....
This on here is a 256mb version by powercolor and is 111 pounds:

The best way to go would be this one though, its the 512mb version and comes pre-overclocked with an aftermarket cooler attatched (which is always much better and much quieter). It is 130 pounds though:

3850pro 512mb extreme

Hope that helps mate

The card you own (7900GTX isn't it?) is faster than those. And they don't have the power to handle crysis in Very High. In order to take advantage of DX10 you need to play on very high. The bad thing is that Crysis plays a lot worse under DX10 than under DX9 so if you can't run Very High settings because performance is better to stick to DX9 and your card.
That being said, buy the GTS and try to sell it. Just don't loose the money.;)
