What was the "B550 USB bug"?

IIRC, I heard about B550 motherboards having USB issues. Is the symptom usually a wrong-password error message from Windows on the first try? Is that the bug?

I do think I have a USB port on my B550 daily driver where USB drives don't get connected properly.

The issue was Windows randomly disconnecting and reconnecting USB devices. It was fixed pretty early with BIOSes and Agesa updates.

Just search for "AGESA USB bug" with your favorite search engine. This topic was in the PC news in early 2021. It was fixed in AGESA versions 1.2.0.2 and later.

The bus to the USB onthe boards were programed in the Bios to "Go to sleep" from No activity, which caused disconnections

Not all boards got fixed early on. Both my x470 and x570 boards had it until recent.(four months about ago)
