Seeing as the Titan X costs $1500 or over, here, I could buy three GTX 970's for that price, or a GTX 980Ti and have close to $500 remaining.
I'd like to have a Fury X, just for the size, appearance and tech.
I don't think it performs better than any of the other options.

Running an all AMD platform for the last several months, and given everything i've read, Id go for the 980 ti. AMDs cards are nice, but nvidia has always had superior drivers. Games look great on my 7950, but there have been issues at time. I dont recall any on my 8800gt, but that was a long time ago. My media servers can also take advantage of the cuda technologies and hardware acceleration, which..simply doesn't exist with AMD graphics.

Shouldnt have Titan X there imo. Fury X anyway, probably. If I had to buy any of them. If I was given one of them, I'd get whatever card would get me most money when I sold it and replace it with like a 290 if I could get one for cheap, a laptop and beer.

I don't see why not, at 4k, I can easily surpass 6G vram use in games, give it two more years and an SLI'd titan and you'll have quite the setup for HiDPI gaming.

I just recently got rid of 3x GTX 670s, SLI was scaling great. The actual pixel pushing power actually beats a stock titan, but trying to play games at 4k meant I instantly capped that 2Gb vram and ran into stuttering. With 12Gb, the titan x will provide a much wider surface for SLI scaling.

Now, DX12 memory stacking potential would be nice, but until we get hard numbers and actual applications using it, it's still vaporware.

At 1440p, the 980ti is a no-brainer right now though.

AMDs cards are nice, but nvidia has always had superior drivers.

Just don't install the latest ones :/ Oh god they are broken.

Waiting until the fall when the Lightning model comes out. To see if it can live up to former glories(gtx580/780) and for prices to have dropped a wee bit

Maybe the Nano, if it can be cooled quietly with a third party cooler and if it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Otherwise I'll simply wait for next year's releases.

Hmm.
I wouldn't buy any of these. They're good cards, sure, but I'll just stick with my 295x2 until next gen when hopefully there's something to actually get excited over.
Don't get me wrong, any of those would make me happy for a single-card config(970 SLI aside, since it's two cards :p), and 970 SLI is certainly very capable for the price, but none of these options would feel like an upgrade, especially for the price. The Fury X is cool in that it has HBM, but next generation holds HBM for both sides, so yeah, I'll wait.

All that said, if I had to choose, I'd grab a 980Ti with a good aftermarket cooler, so that's how I voted.

Next! :D

Yeah...none of the above also. There's not a good enough reason for me to...... 7950 runs GTA V well enough.

On a side note if I was to buy it would likely be Nvidia. Big thanks to AMD's driver devs and marketing team who helped me make the decision. :p

The last straw tbh was my mate 2 weeks ago bought a VaporX 290, soon as it was installed the black screens started. We fixed it w/ constant voltage in AB. This is how long after the issues at R9 release?

Sounds like it was neither driver devs nor marketing that was responsible for your friend's troubles, but a defective card.

Maybe you should have exchanged it for another one. That's exactly why I never buy graphics cards online, only at a local computer store, just in case I have to pull it back out, put it back in the box and go get another one. And my experience from the time of my very first graphics board in 1991 until now, is that the failure rate for graphics cards is exactly the same, regardless of the chip manufacturer. These days, that's an AMD or nVidia chip.

I would not buy any option :), just no need too. And if i had a lower end card than my 290X i would wait for the nano anyways as i would not want to drop so much money in to 28nm again.

Fury 2 is what i am looking forward too and only if it had more than 4GB of memory on it.

Ditto. My Gigabyte R9 290 card bios flashed to 1040MHz (using the TechPowerUp bios database) slices through everything I throw at it.
