Hello, I am upgrading my computers for some more processor muscle, with the main rig getting a Q9650, but I am thinking what quad core to put in place of my E2200 in the other rig. The prices here put the Q6700 as about 10$ cheaper than the Q8200 and those are the cheapest Intel quads here. The question is, what would you prefer ? The Q6700 or the Q8200 ?
I am leaning towards the Q6700, but I am still undecided. I am running my second rig silent, with two 500RPM 120mm case fans, a passively cooled 9600GT and an IFX-14 on the CPU (fanless, as well), so please take that into consideration. My E2200 is running 2.93Ghz at stock volts in that setup and I will OC whichever quad that goes into that rig as far as it will go on stock volts, as well.
