Whats a Better Budget Card?

Nvidia brand is not so important..just looking at a GT220 or the PowerColor 4650. Both are DDR 2. Price is not that much of a factor but obviously the 4650 is at a good price. Not really looking at other cards mainly 'cause this shop sucks at keeping stuff in stock in the Kingston location. Any suggestions are welcomed and appreciated. Thnx

Hmm the 4650 isnt there but the 220 doesnt look so appealing. Considering the 4650 is 20 bucks cheaper Ima prob go with that. The card is only for light gaming anyways so the extra 512mb would be wasted.

well considering the performance difference i think the 4670 is worth the hassell since its on par with the a 3870 in most games and overclocking it will show a nice 15-20% improvement.

but its your purchase man :toast:

So I grabbed the 4650 for a stopgap solution till the summer....The bummer is that it has a 64 bit interface, but for my G/F its fine. I think ima get a 5570 or a 5670 after to make it a decent gaming rig for friends to use

yea the HD 4650 honestly isn't that far behidn the HD 4670, and the 4670 outperforms the GT220 by like 14-18% or soemthing so the 4650 was the good choice.

Only 64 bit bandwidth? The one i bought for my low end rig is 128 bit:S
But still you'd be better off spending like 500 dollars and buying a nice 5850/5870 and letting that last you. Heck my 8800 ultra's still max everything fine. Though in June i'm gonna put them to rest and replace with a 5850
