what's a good registry cleaner?

i d\l this utility called Registry Booster 2 by Uniblue that is supposed to be a good registry cleaner. Reason i brought this up is because i already have RegCleaner, RegScrubXP and a regcleaning utility in CCleaner, however after i cleaned the registry using those 3 the Registry booster found over 200 registry issues. As you guys already know, RegCleaner is a manual cleaner so one must know what to remove, RegScrubXP has an issue finder as well as a manual cleaner and the utility in CCleaner automatically finds issues and one can choose what to remove. Registry booster is like that too though it finds more issues than the other programs, though this program is not free, its 29.99. is this a good registry cleaning program? If not can someone recomend something else?

I don't mind paying for a good registry cleaner since i know that neglecting this issue could cause problems.

I use Advanced Windows Care from www.iobit.com

It's free, you get the automatic option to repair but you also get the option to click and choose. Also, it's somewhat more than a registry cleaner.

I think you are confusing the program suggested by panther with another utility made by IObit, the IObit defragger. Advanced Windows Care 2 is for cleaning registry, junk files, spyware and other crap as well as sys optimization. As far as defraggers go the IObit utility is prety good, however i suggest using Diskeeper, comes in 2 varities Lite (free) and Pro (paid), i used both and they are better than Windows defragging tool.

Thanks to panther and DRDNA for making suggestions i will try those out.

thats a matter of opinion....Me I dont use but others swear by it.My true favorit is RegistryMechanic just like I stated earlier and HellasVagabond stated he likes it too.

Well personally I use Tuneup Utilities with a keygen.....I think it picks up more bad registry entries than ccleaner.

I believe you becuase the CCleaner is kind of WAY light on the reg cleaning.

I'd recommend Reg Mechanic too. Very slick and easy to use.
