I vote none of them, all Nvidia options are too expensive, and all RTG options are too... how to put it lightly? obsolete?

1660 and 1660Ti are anything but expensive from where I stand. Same prices as previous generation, same power draw, significantly more HP.
Even the 2060 is a good deal, but people (myself included) aren't used to call a $350 part "mid range".

We still have the "new hot product" tax here, a 1660 (non Ti) costs ARS 14,600 (around USD 325), while a 570 costs ARS 7000 (USD 155).
Under normal prices, yeah, the 1660 series is great, a bit costy but good all around. Under normal prices.

Ah, that happens a lot over here, too. I got this habit where I disregard local prices (in part because I rarely buy locally anyway) and when I comment, I think primarily of US prices.
Wouldn't it be nice if all the world could get US pricing, though? :D

as a sometimes-(GPU )distributed computing addict, a $110-130 Radeon Fury (3584 freakin' shaders!). sure, it's only got 4GB VRAM, but a recent review roundup was only showing like 3-4 games above 4GB RAM, mainly the cover-based shooting simulators, but it beats the 580, 1060s, sometimes 590, and gets even better at higher resolutions (compared to the others in the $150-200 range).

should tide me over until the $300-400 market hopefully gets interesting soon, what with new 1080s being rare

I picked up an RX570 Nitro to replace an ageing GTX770 as only have a 1080p monitor at the moment, it served its purpose well for the £80 it cost me but I've always had Nvidia cards and want to go back at some point.

The cards I'm most interested in for the mid-range option is probably a 2060 or a 2070 (Ti for either maybe?) - but that's if they finally drop their prices once Navi etc appears.

i think they won't because of arrogance... unless Navi whoops up on them--which i don't expect, because it's STILL GCN :/

it's a bummer you Europeans can't seem to get used Furys as cheaply as we can here in NA

My MSI 1660Ti has turned out to be a very good experience. Performance is stellar, noise is low, and excess heat is mitigated properly. The only downside is that it is not SLI capable. AMD cards are. (crossfire)

Haha yeah, Nvidia's prices are always pretty much stuck in mud. I did have a 2060 in my previous system but had to sell it due to circumstances - I'd like to go back to green team at some point but for now I'm more than likely going to wait for whatever the generation after Turing is called.

Yup, the market here for used high end cards, even older ones are much higher than the US and a few other countries, bit of a shame really.

There needed to be a poll option of none.

Half the cards are more expensive than a mid range card should be, the other half are a good three years old now.

some of the three year old cards are still good enough for anything that is aimed aimed them.. which may be part of the problem..

That's true.
My 1080Ti is beastly.
My two 1080FE cards are pushing some fine SLI numbers.
My two 1070Ti cards in SLI are the same.
My two Vega 64 cards in Crossfire, awesome,........

And my one 1660Ti is completely adequate.

I don't need any new GPUs and will not be getting any of them anytime soon.

AMD Zen 2 is another story however,...............

Nvidia 1660Ti and 2060 are way too expensive in our country, Pakistan. So for price/performance, AMD's RX 580 8GB is a sweet spot for 1080p, Ultra/high gaming.
