What's the primary resolution/refresh rate you're gaming at on your PC (2022)?

With most reviews and reviewers obsessed with 4K high refresh rate gaming I wonder what's the situation among the active TPU forums participants.

My primary PC is hooked up to a 4k 120hz display and my secondary is hooked up to a 1440p 144hz display. I would say I primarily use the 4k display though.

I don't really think reviewers leave out any if the 3 primary display resolutions though it's just that with this generation even 3060ti/6700XT are very usuable at 4k previous generations there was either only 1 card (2080ti) or you had to use multiple gpus and pray sli/crossfire profiles weren't crap.

Beyond that people just get what they can afford if it costed the same to game at 4k 100+ fps as it did to game at 1080p 100+ fps 1080p would die. Price is the largest factor in what people choose.

might consider 1080-240 or 1080-360, but i dont really see a point in higher pixel density.
if i were to upgrade, refresh rate'd be my target, not pixels.

Still on 1080p @ 144Hz. Given my modest game library (20 games?) and that most of them are 2010-2020 release I don't feel the need to upgrade. My most played games are single player campaign and low-pace, not competitive by any means. To be fair I'm in my mid-30's and feel I game less and less each year. I would rather buy motorcycle gear or another gun/knife than spend money on the computer setup.

3K is a sweetspot, although my ageing 1070 would prefer 2650x1440p60

I dunno, I should've voted for 1440p over 75Hz though it probably means 2560x1440 and not the 1920x1440 my monitor has so I voted other.

Still using a CRT I bought as broken - for parts only (it wasn't dead, just had a loose wire in the AC input connector), a sweet 21" ViewSonic flatscreen, it's huge, weighs 30kg and doubles as space heater during winter but can go up to 100Hz although I've set it to 85 to prevent overheating. I'm sort of stuck with it due to most LED monitors in my country being absolutely terrible in terms of contrast and bleed, also super inflated prices due to taxes and scarcity.
So far the pros it offers over new stuff overweigh the cons so I guess I'll keep on using it, most games look great, even Cyberpunk -despite the bugs- can run at its resolution without mods or tweaks.

Eternally out of touch. But it gives my room a sweet touch.

Tricky to answer if you use as many as some do, I Use three at home and four at work and the highest use case isn't my personal preference of the 4k.
