RAM.png

83ns memory latency?? am i dreaming or what?

im on asus prime X370pro with ryzen 1700

ram is KHX2133C13D4/8GX and aida64 tell me manufacturer is SK hynix???

anyway i start thinking my ram suck hard should be like 34 ns or what ...

Higher timings increases latency.

You won't get 34ns even with the latest & greatest OCing monster in 8700k, not at 2666 MHz & CAS 14. What you're seeing is right & fairly accurate, if you want lower latency then you'll have to increase the ram speed (with the same timings) or tighten the current timings @2666 MHz.

but im already at 2666mhz in cl 14-13-13-36 which are very short timing right? i always think 80 ns is high latency dont you?
No it's not, IIRC Ryzen works fairly well with CAS14 @3200MHz, of course it's usually Samsung B die.

Like I said, for that RAM speed & CAS14 it's not. There's two ways to reduce latency, increase your mem speed with the same/similar timings or tighten the timings.
EDIT: just look this link https://www.memorybenchmark.net/ram.php?ram=Kingston+KHX2133C13D4/8GX+8GB&id=7968 it show my ram score comapred to other

WTF??!! the Kingston KHX2133C14D4/8G 8GB wich is cl14 is only 24ns im not understanding anymore
Why are you comparing passmark with AIDA64 :wtf:

anyway you can see the difference of NS latency on my link, mine got 82 and all other like 32 its not about program in background whicj i already shut down,

its about the bench result on my link, u can clearly see my model got higher latency than the other

the Kingston KHX2133C14D4/8G 8GB which is exactly the same than me exept it got LONGER timings (cl14) instead CL13 for me got 32NS while my model is bench at 82NS.

i cant be more clear, i think my model is a bad model heve got a X the end of model number think thjis is what change

Thats the list WITH Amd cpus as a comparison , and even there, lower speed, lower latency, higher speed = higher latency, those are guided by the laws of physics and the processes used to design and produce chips , only a next gen tech is budging that from our reality, ie massive bandwidth architectures like HBM.

Crazy overclocking can reduce it marginally.

youre right, one billionth of a second seems nothing. and after some search its seems have no impact on performance.

im just worried to see, than gta 5 run less good on r7 1700 3.8ghz than with my i5 6600k @4.5ghz, intel win the game this time, so i was lookin for any issues who can resolve my fps drop than i havnt before.

thanks for the link its all clear now, all 2133 got this latence, it seems cpu or platform imposed this , next step will be the b-die 3200mhz :p

Try to get 4.0 from the 1700.
