A simple and cheap purchase to extend lifespan of my GPU, I did read that sagging caused some GPU to fail -

Hmmm, seems like imgur's acting up on me, here's a link to the pic -

the more and more you use bluetooth earbuds, the more you don't miss the wire at all. its quite freeing not having a wire honestly.

and the fact they all come with charging cases makes it more manageable.

I do agree, I use my Earbuds2 and Sony WH-XM1000XM3 for w/l listening, when I'm out and about commuting, but when I go overseas, I MUST have my wired IEMs + iBasso DC02 for for a higher fidelity listening. Wireless buds and headphones are great, but tuned for pop kind of music with bass boost, they're not known for accuracy, wide soundstage + imaging (for w/l headphones).

Yeah for at least a year I've been using airpods and a hd450bt
It was only that speaker that used the cable

Added some early technology to my collection. The Aspen is 45lb pull the Sycamore is 28lb pull, click to enlarge.

View attachment 295658View attachment 295659View attachment 295660

Are those the actual woods used, or is it branding only?

Real laminated wood for the handle and metal front and back with wood inner on the limbs, hard to imagine medieval ages people used to pull 90 pounds on a recurve bow and have to hold it until their commander yelled "loose".

Yep. The don't make biceps like they used to.

So the are made of Aspen and sycamore specifically? I had never heard of using those particular woods in a bow.
As a British, I'd be unhappy with anything but Yew for a bow.
Battles like Agincourt are why Yew trees still grow in most British churchyards, because in medieval times, we all had to do longbow practice after church on Sundays..

Yew is the traditional wood for a long bow, I know that much but idk what wood was used to make the handle or limbs on mine. I started as a total noob to the hobby but I'm figuring it out.

My first 2 shots missed the target and went into the woods behind my house, one hit a tree with a nice solid thwack. I killed my target on the 5th shot and was sinking the arrows about halfway into my target which is just 4 of those foam floor tiles with the zig zaggy edges about 2 feet square and a pizza box I drew on. They catch the arrow nicely and are easy to extract the arrow from, best/cheapest arrow target you can get.

Bought another MI25 because I was a numpty and broke my first one. Keeping it air cooled and not touching the stock heatsink for the time being, used the cut up shroud from the old one and a blower from a GTX 480. Works okay, hot and loud just like vega is supposed to be. :p

My mom got this recently, lmao what a blast from the past. 100% will bet anyone ten dollars she never uses it. my parents have a bad habit of buying shit and never using it. my Dad's most recent wasted buy - turkey fryer (only used it once in like ten years). Already got a layer of dust on it with his 20 other appliance fads he gets, slice your apples so easily, etc.

but hey w.e makes you happy

I didn't even know this was a thing at the consumer level. I've seen plenty of these old films/film rolls stashed in old family picture albums or boxed up somewhere in our parents home. My old man can do with this sort of hobby and then share the magic. Great gift idea for the parents!!

This is why i love this thread... subscriber for life!

this little thing has come in handy more times than I can count. I originally bought it when the AM5 board I tried out had a fault Intel LAN port... never thought I would have use for it after that. a few weeks ago I mentioned it works perfect on Steam Deck to download games faster if you don't want to hook up to Dock.

well today I had another idea, I wanted to download a few games on my phone such as Magic Arena, about 3-4 gb data, I was like hmm lets try this... yep works automatically, downloaded the game super fast. wild. best $30 I ever spent. I imagine it will come in handy for more surprise uses in the future.

this little thing has come in handy more times than I can count.

Nice! I have an older 1Gb model with a USB-A connector that I use at work, when I need to hook my laptop into a rack switch. You don't know you need it until you need it; and once you need it, you'll never let it get too far away.

I have a similar one (Ugreen gigabit with USB-A 3.0) to use on my NSW dock. It makes miracles for downloading games and reducing ping when playing online. The wifi on the Switch is atrocious.

While waiting for the repair shop to return to me the never ending crashing RX5600XT card that even they couldn't fix (its warranty was already void, long story) I shopped around online for used graphics cards, to replace the RX5600XT and also the late RX580 that I had.

I was going to buy yet another AMD GPU, then I stumbled upon a Zotac Mini GTX1070 being sold for a temptingly low MYR360 (~$81). Since I'm dabbling in Stable Diffusion generation in addition to gaming, I immediately bought it. And let's just say that for now, I'm enjoying playing games crash-free at 1080p 60+fps again, and I'm a lot more productive with SD generation, previously in CPU only mode it took a 3 minutes to generate a pic with 10 steps, now with the GTX1070 I only take 10 secs for the same 10 steps.
